I loved your video! Breathtaking! What a fantastic place on this Earth! I also relate so much to your changes and dreams. When people ask me when I started looking into raw food, I have to look back to when I ordered my Vitamix! As time went on, eating plants connected to so many of my other passions. I don’t eat primarily raw anymore but will always consider it my biggest catalyst for the other changes in my life. I am doing a study project on Permaculture, soil regeneration, and gardening at home while making it wilder. Hiking makes me fall deeper in love with trees and boulders! Simple clothes, simple food, simple hobbies, and a reconnection to working with my soil rather than fighting it. I could go on forever, but suffice to say, I love your outlook and can’t wait to see more videos.

@@TheSoundsInside You're very welcome. I understand that, I've seen it with a few of my friends who live in the UK. But I absolutely agree, where there's a will, there's a way. There's also an option of doing something like I'm doing, getting a summer house there and being able to go over whenever you want. The real estate prices are starting to go down (I check every day) and if you look for Fritidsboenden for sale on Hemnet.se you'll find that over the next year, the prices are going to drop quite a bit. Sweden is the cheapest Scandinavian country for summer houses to begin with, but they're going to be incredibly cheap now that the prices are going back down.
@TheSoundsInside2 жыл бұрын
@@simplytarah That’s a great idea. Next year could be a really good year to buy! 😊 I must admit I do have a slight addiction to the Hemnet app 😄 Currently retraining to be a class 1 HGV lorry driver (the giant articulated trucks). Having tried several different routes to get a job in the country, the issues with work permits has prevented me from getting one thus far. But retraining could be the way forward! You only live once (as far as I know) so if I don’t give this everything then I’m not trying hard enough.

We were lucky and bought this camper before people went a bit crazy in Denmark, realizing that the pandemic wasn't ending any time soon, and started buying up campers. We bought it for $2000USD and put about $4000 into it with an off grid power system (huge lead acid battery), diesel heater, new upholstery, mattress.. Etc. I'll share the recipes in a comment too 😊

Your videos are so soothing, not to mention absolutely stunning. This lifestyle completely resonates with what I want to live. Also, how often do you cook for Pepsi?Do you make two batches everyday?Or do you cook twice for him? I also saw you adding onion and garlic in the food. Is Pepsi eating the same food? I mean , my dog has eaten food containing onion and garlic before though it's not advisable for dogs. So I wanted to confirm if the meals you showed are the ones Pepsi had? Do you give him any supplements? Thanks in advance;))
@simplytarah Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much 💖 it means a lot to hear this! With Pepsi's food at home, we make a huge batch every two weeks and freeze it. It's a little different on the road, because we don't have storage for that much food. So we cook smaller batches every two to three days. He hasn't had onion in 7 years, that was just from an old video. He gets a mixture of 50% protein - lentils (green & red), chickpeas, kidney beans, white beans, black beans, soy protein (his favourite). 25% is grains like rice, quinoa, amaranth, millet, and barley. The other 25% is a mix of green and red veggies like kale, broccoli, spinach, peas, cabbage, zucchini, sweet potato, carrots, beets, peppers, tomatoes, corn, cauliflower, and sometimes potatoes in smaller quantities. Then he gets added fat and supplements. Things like chia seeds, flax seeds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, almonds, cashews, coconut milk, nutritional and brewers yeast, and a small amount of oils. We flavor his food with herbs, spices, tomato paste, plant based milks, mild ajvar, and liquid smoke. On top of that, he gets a full spectrum dog supplement, and a vegan bone every day.

Just curious about one thing… Are you vloggers able to really enjoy the journey or do you have the pressure always to capture everything perfectly ?
@simplytarah2 жыл бұрын
It honestly depends. On this trip we had a really good balance of filming and enjoying time off camera. You have to expect that when you're filming, things are easily going to take twice as long to accomplish, so I have to consider that if I'm spending time with others, I either don't film or have to make them fully understand what filming entails. But when it's just the two of us, we're so used to the camera that we forget it's even there. I've shared parts of my life on KZbin for over 10 years, so the filming process feels entirely natural now.

More and more norwegians are fed up with the type of "camping" where caravans are placed on reststops, roadpockets, in secluded areas off the main roads where yeah sure, its nice nature, but then we have hundreds of thousands doing the same thing and just wear our nature out, destroying all the nice spots. Yeah, cityslickers who live in the asphalt dont understand how it is to live with tourists 24/7 from february to november and then december to january, year out and year in. People who live in the secluded villages does it for a reason: We dont want to live in the big citys and around strangers so dont camp outside of campingplaces or designated camp sites. This is just a tip for whomever wants to go and "explore norway". And ffs, RV and trailercampers: dont pour ur greywater/sewage on the side of the road on the roadpockets or shoulders!!! Or make ur own personal toilets in the bushes! When a certain amount of people DOES THE SAME THING, THE EXCREMENTS DONT GO AWAY!!! THERE ARE PLACES WHERE U CAN DO THIS!!!!!! EVEN FOR FREE!!! Good to see this was on the proper spots. :)

@@grusommetom2570 I completely understand this and agree with you! Norway is our second home, and we're in the process of buying land and building a little cabin there. Our first principle is always leave no trace and respecting the nature, and it's honestly infuriating that others don't take that into consideration. We were just traveling around Norway in May, in our camper, when there was pretty much just Norwegian campers on the road, and you could tell the moment that the German and Dutch campers started coming up. In early June, we saw campers parking on people's front yards, directly on the roads, and on spots that clearly said "no camping". I wish I could report many of the spots on the app Park4night, because there are so many spots and reviews saying that camping isn't allowed, or where it's clearly private land, next to someone's cabin...etc, and people still go there. The disrespect is mind blowing to me. It's one of the reasons we only go in May and September/October, so we don't have to be around that kind of culture with other tourists. I understand that I'm not Norwegian, but when we spend time in our camper, or when we rent cabins for the winter, we try our best to show respect to nature and the local communities. We're working towards living half the year there, and don't want to associate with the huge hoards of people who don't make the slightest effort to understand the impact that this much tourism causes. I sincerely hope that more regulations are put in place for tourists, and we will gladly follow them to see the beautiful nature protected
