I'm thinking about it, looking for a complete change, I'm hispanic too, I have family members with same last name as you, Over the last year, I have become more interested in the northwest, lived in austin before and hated it, probably because its Texas, its hot and humid, but hearing about people's live and let live attitude is encouraging, and I lived in california where I had trouble finding work, or having anything positive going at all. I have been to Denver,considered it; its very brown, the grass is always dead, its kind of flat with wide open spaces, also want to live somewhere to watch basketball games, and go to shows and stuff like that. No Walmarts?

+Hoops590 if you want all of that. move to las vegas. thats the place for you..... and yea there are some walmarts out here in portland

Can you live in Portland with no car , I mean is it easy to mave around with just public transportation and a bicycle? Im going to move there soon
@Jamesagenda10110 жыл бұрын
Having a car in portland is not mandatory in some cases like it is in California. You just have to figure out the public transit schedule. So to answer your question , you don't need a car to live in portland.

I grew up in LA, moved to AZ for college, my folks moved to Portland in 1969 and I moved up when I graduated in 1971. They lived in Portland from 1969 to 2002. I have lived in Portland or surronding cities since 1971 (except 1978 to 1980). I think the worst is the cloudy and rainy winters. On the other hand the summers are really great. My brother lived in Portland from 1969 to 2014 and never drove, never had a license and got around just fine. Generally, Portland is my favorite city. I would gladly move to Portland If I could afford a house, my husband were retired, and had the patience to move. If you live in Portland be thankful.

Job Market Pretty good in Portland? Well that's a crock a shit. The only Companies that really pay much are Intel and Nike (who hire mainly H1Bs) and the other small companies out there will pay you below market wages because there are literally hundreds of applicants moving there or that need a job.

Super un-related to your portland move but I noticed in your previous years that you experienced depersonalization. I saw you posted a comment on a video about a psychologist explain the disorder. I suffer from it now and am curious if you have recovered and what you did to recover.

Hey James, Thanks for the videos on PDX. I'm a so cal transplant moving up there in a couple weeks so it was nice to hear your perspective. Do you still work in the e commerce business that you mentioned?
@joshualapio86089 жыл бұрын
You should, I got into school up here a few years ago but had to stay home and ended up finishing down there. Now I'm just making the jump after admiring it from afar for the last what? 6-8 years? I'm psyched.

hey man, great video, im thinking about moving there in 2 weeks, im arriving into sf but im looking for an internship and i haven't found one there, you think i would have a better chance up there? rent seems alot cheaper there aswell
@Jamesagenda10110 жыл бұрын
As far as the internship I'm not sure. Depending what you are looking for in a job , it just depends on the availability in the area but I do think this is a great place to find a job for most things so far. Rent is cheaper than what I'm used to in California but it also just depends on what you are willing to spend it can get expensive here too.

New channel up yet? Also are you doing anything with your diet to solve your health problems? You're talk about beer in this video is concerning. You can't expect a healthful life if you drink toxic substances. Greasy/processed foods can cause irreparable damage to digestive organs. Speaking from my experience. I am looking to move to Portland; your latest Portland update videos are how I found your channel. Here's to good health!

Hi. Are you hispanic? I'm guessing because of your last name. I'm moving to portland within the next few months, and wanted to know if you experienced racism in Portland while living there? I've been getting mixed results about that, and just wanted to know your own personal experience with that.
