Maybe wages in Portugal are low so as the cheap day to day cost!! You earn two thousand pounds in London, after deducting income tax & national insurance as well as paying all other essential expenses like food, rent or mortgages, transport, bills, etc. nothing left in your pocket at the end of the month!!😂

Of all 10, there are a few that I agree are "not so good": - Number 1: Sometimes it's really too much and I'm all against food waste. Fortunately, many restaurants have come to the conclusion that the right quantity of food still keeps the customers satisfied and it's more economically and environmentally sustainable. - Number 2: Unfortunately there are many people, especially in the services' area, that don't care about this and leave the customers waiting for hours or even days. I work in that area but if I arrive 5 minutes late to an appointment with a client it will warrant an apology from me. - Number 3: I'm portuguese, I drive and it also drives me up the walls (pun not intended) when pedestrians cross the street where there's a crosswalk at walking distance. Not to mention that it's illegal. As for Margarida's opinion, she should be criticising the pedestrians, not the drivers. - Number 4: I feel the same, even for me sometimes loud people in restaurants or even in the streets (especially at night) are quite the annoyance. - Number 8: We're (still) a relatively poor country, so yeah.

I think he doesn't mean portuguese talk loud...but everyone talks at same time and it's a mess, we have a lot of diferent conversations at the table in different subjects all at same time and if a person don't dominate totally Portuguese a outsider can't enter the talks that's frustrating because the language is complex

Did people really expect Portugal to be perfect? I lived in 5 European countries, and Portugal was my least favorite. Weird and cold people who pretend to be nice. He didn't mention their obsession with their past. They did a lot of horrible things, but somehow, they are proud of it. Other imperialist European countries encourage them to be proud of their centuries of slavery and invading other countries. Oh yeah, they love to blame for their problems. It's the Brazilians, Africans, or Gypsies' fault. Portuguese are perfectly behaved, and they never commit crimes.

@@salomecomedy No, he wasn't 'unlucky' at all. That perfectly explains the Portuguese people. They are the most insincere, unfriendly people I've every experienced, and I've lived in 6 different countries. And that is the experience of many other foreigners who I know live in or have lived in Portugal, especially Brazilians. "Cold and weird" explains the Portuguese to a T!
@vittoriobollo34084 ай бұрын
Teddy, you are my new best friend! "Weird and cold people who pretend to be nice" is EXACTLY how the Portuguese are. Beautifully put. I get so tired of all these expats waxing lyrical about how 'friendly' and 'warm' the Portuguese are. It's all such bullshite because all I know are expats who find the Portuguese closed, insular and near-impossible to befriend.
