I just moved from PR last year and I never paid more than 500.00 a month for a 4bdrm house with 3car garage. My last rental was in Luquillo and I paid 350.00 for a 3bdrm house 3 car garage & gated/fenced large lot with a garden and fruit trees. But those rents you speak of is probably in some of the gated communities catering to non-locals for the most part. My brother pays 750.00 mortgage for his 4 bedroom house with 1/4acre of land. But you need to be willing to move away from the "touristy" areas. The only thing i found expensive in PR was the electricity which would fluctuate from 60.00 to 80.00. I paid only 15.00 for water. The wifi I had with Liberty & that was 50.00 a month.

@@Paradisepointvacation - I have friends and family there. Not much. And it alll depends on where u want to live. I detailed that in my post. I still have all of my pages of rentals around the island & it's really still the same except in the areas where they want the boogie non-locals to come.

I live in a place I consider very cheap, compared to Canada which is where I’m from. And I could never imagine even here in Mexico having an electricity bill below 100.! That crazy I definitely thought it would be way more there!

yes we took a break for a bit as we were traveling at this time , we plan on going back later to PR as a lot of our friends are there and people we know. We mis PR so much :(

For local goods many towns (maybe even most towns) have a Plaza Del Mercado usually found in downtown areas.. You would just have to go downtown and ask locals if there is a Plaza Del Mercado and where it is...

Some people are saying that the rent is a little high but they seem to forget it's a gateway community so that would be considered kind of cheap swimming pool tennis court And other amenities it Must come with

I know right! A gated community, with 24 hours security plus all the amenities and it's right next to the beach!

Rent, expensive Wi-fi $56 for 90 mbs. Also siper ecpensive I pay $50. For Fiber optic 500 mbs. That's decent speed. Streamin ggv Netflix, slings and thst at time is slower speed.

comparing to other similar places (gated community, 24hr security, amenities + right next to surf spots and touristy places) it seems like it's about the same, actually cheaper when we've done our research ..especially in Isabela - righ tnext to Jobos

Your water is very cheap there. Iam surprised on your rent. I thought it would be much less. I guess if it's like in the usa everything is going up for no apparent reasons. I know the car insurance is very cheap there.
