Great video! The one thing that I can truly recommend as a local is to go to Memish and drink some citronadă or bragă next time you are in Slatina :)

Bulevardul Nicolae Titulescu (with the Kaufland hypermarket and Altex electronical store) and Strada Ecaterina Teodoroiu are also main streets in Slatina. All of them are built from West to East. They do not have main streets from North to South, an exception is str. Tunari, not to far from the Rail Station, but this street covers only part of the central eastern Slatina. It is a small and difficult city for the automobilists. Slatina has couple of main supermarkets Lidl, Penny, Kaufland, Carrefour Market and Profi, and one McDonalds restaurant. The Winmarkt-Oltul center is a commercial center built in the "70s. A modern mall was planned by NEPI Rockastle (the developer of Promenada Craiova, Severin Shopping Center, Tg. Jiu Shopping City and Vâlcea Shopping City) the desired place being a former Military Unit not far from the Rail Station, but the start of the building process was delayed.

4:50 This is the statue of Alexander John Cuza, under his reign, in 1859, Valahia and Moldavia become United principalities, and the modern Romania was born. The name of the main boulevard from Slatina is also „Alexandru Ioan Cuza”.
