This was very enjoyable as an American looking to move to Sweden. Hoping for a similar story like yours, but would rather adopt those norms for my potential family one day. Than you for your insight. Subscribed!

I have traveled to European countries as well as North America/Canada, Africa and the Caribbean, and live in the USA - thought I knew what was going on - but you have opened my eyes to quite a few interesting differences. Thank you Tina - this vlog was very informative! Yes, Part 2 please.

You seriously covered quite a few key basis already, so GREAT JOB. Being from Cleveland Ohio, which is SORT OF Midwest, I already knew our public transportation was "ok", but not GREAT compared to the East Coast cities and DEFINITELY not good compared to European cities. All your other points are valid as well. Being as I was a waiter throughout college, I'm pretty territorial about tge conversation of tips. I hated serving people from Europe and Asia because they simply couldn't understand the concept of tips. Glad you took tge time to understand. Great video!

Thanks for your feedback! Yes, it took some time to shift my mindset about tips but now I get it! I still wish that wait staff will be paid adequately one day.

I grew up in the US and noticed once I traveled to Europe, how efficient transportation is there compared to the USA.Most Americans realize once they travel abroad how inefficient our transportation system is compared to other industrialized nations. But our automobile industryFord, GM etc have alot of power and influence in the government which why it is lacking except in big cities like NY, Chicago, DC. Politics plays a large role.... (BTW, I love your white dress, what brand is it?)

It's the same thing that people think about Swedish taxes 😂😂 We pay 33% so somebody else's child gets food in school or to clean what somebody else littered on the street. To us we are so used to paying taxes to the government, but tips is a type of tax you pay straight to the person serving you. I am not saying that it's correct, and I do agree that they should be paid more. They could include the tip in the price on the menu though, that would be easier.

So youd rather have dirty streets and hungry children and a lot less time on your hands, get in debt for decades for an injury or an education? Swedens tax system is cheaper for its citizens.

Mrs tina I know that I don't know you please don't be mad can you tell me how much it will cost for one person to move in sweden as permanent residence please I need to know

You have to compare Sweden to whichever state that you are in not the entire US.
@Bibirallie2 жыл бұрын
IDK, you can't compare USA to Sweden, you have to compare the state that you are in to Sweden because states differ (especially on the topic of abortion). If you go to Italy, abortion is still a huge topic there, but one wouldn't use Italy to describe Europes views on abortion. Additionally, ticking the box about races is essential for how service is provided. A lot of minority communities are underserved and if we don't collect data, these communities will be missed through the cracks. I think you should educate your self more on these topics.

I agree with you sorta but not really. I’ve lived all up and down the West coast down south and now East coast and to be honest it’s all the same besides the racism.
@tinasarafinas4962 Жыл бұрын
Interesting point and I'll look into it more, but how long have these statistics been collected and miniorities in US are still underserved in several aspects of life? I think more is needed than ticking in a box about so called "race".
@meDi850 Жыл бұрын
Italy vs Europe is not comparable, because Europe is a continent, not a country. She compared Sweden to another country, the US, not the whole of North America.
