As a Finn I love it when the winters are actually properly cold. It makes you enjoy the summers to the fullest too. I love that we have four seasons that are very different from each other.

Yeah can only imagine! I've spend winter in Finland and Sweden, but never summer. Brynn has spent summer in Finland and Sweden and never winter! Haha

I lived in Laramie, Wyoming for six years after finishing grad school. When I did my interview, I arrived in -27 F. When they dropped me at my hotel, all I could think was "When is the next flight out of this place?" But, on my flight back, I had a long layover in Denver, so took a bus into town and walked around for several hours. Even though the temps were single digits, the sun was bright and the air was as clear and crisp as I had ever experienced. I absolutely fell in love with it. Even though the negative temps are to be taken seriously, they sure make for a pristine environment (in part because the population is held naturally low as very few managed to make it beyond the first winter. 😂) Wonderful video.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed the video :). We can definitely relate to your experience, we've never felt air like it! We felt like we could breathe fully in a way we haven't in so long haha. It's so quiet too, like you said probably because less can make it through the winters 😂 Cheers for commenting!

Aw thanks so much! It's such a beautiful place, can definitely see the appeal on a boat. Either by boat, plane, or van we'll be spending some travelling up that way in the near future we think 😁Would make for a great road trip!

Hard life in those temperatures, I visited Alberta in winter experiencing-35 nice novelty for a holiday but no way I could live there. Would you have to immigrate to get residency?
@ChasingCurrents Жыл бұрын
Yeah unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a way (yet at least) for us to move there. Visas will only allow us to stay for 3 months at a time. We could buy property there but still wouldn't be able to stay any longer than the Schengen restrictions. One day maybe!
