That way, when you grocery shop, you can separate your meat into serving portions and don't have to keep open packaging in your fridge to possibly spoil or become freezer burned. Reminds me of me and my husband. We moved into income based housing when I was 18 with our 1yr old son. I’m 35 now and you remind me of myself , my husband and I were high school sweethearts and had our first child at 21. We lived income based at first but never let that stop us from doing better for our baby. We worked hard and missed a lot of fun with friends until we had better. I’m now a SAHM taking care of our 3 beautiful children and my husband runs his own catering business. Life is way better now so don’t ever give up because life gets hard but better will always come as long as you stay positive and keep fighting for more ❤

As you said in your apartment tour video, it's all about how you choose to live. I too live in income based housing in Texas. Me and my daughter. It is a stepping stone until I can afford greater. I am also in the midst of cleaning. I did baseboards and wiped my walls yesterday. Today me and the kid clothes going through, and sweeping and mopping. Then I will be done.

I hope this inspires you a little, but I had to restart my life at 30 years old-- I went back to school, got my associates degree, then got my bachelor's, and then got my masters degree-- and all through this time I faced so many challenged and roadblocks, but I kept going! I didn't have a car or my own place. But here I am now at 39 and I have a thriving professional career, a BEAUTIFUL dream car (I had to wait 13 years for it) a 5 bedroom gorgeous home, and of course my amazing family (but they have always been!). So, you got this!! Just remember you are working hard now so that future you can enjoy and thrive! We have LOTS of life to still live! Praise God!

When you have a small freezer, always store raw meat on the bottom of the freezer to prevent or minimize cross-contamination with ice cubes or any cold foods that are eaten straight from the freezer. That raw chicken directly over the ice tray...😬.

I love your nitty gritty cleaning method. Helpful tip for the open food in the fridge, lay aluminum foil or plastic wrap ( or store in food Tupperware) over it so the smell doesn’t travel inside the fridge and the food doesn’t dry up and get hard❤️🩷 will definitely help with spillage too and make the leftovers last much longer. If you use plastic/foil, seal the edges so no air gets in. 🙏🏽 Happy cleaning. Time for me to clean today too🩷

To clean the fridge I use a dishpan filled with hot soapy water with a little bleach added. I even use liquid laundry detergent from like the dollar tree or regular dish detergent like dawn.😇🧽🫧

I just watched your other video. Girl you are doing a great job! My dad always said appreciate little and God will bless you with much more 💝I lived in the projects in Queens then got transferred to Manhattan because of gang stalking. In Queens there was rats and in Manhattan roaches but I kept my place nice. I even had a fire place! What you did with the curtains makes the place feel bigger! You are a designer in the making! Keep that positive attitude!!! I now live in a 4 bedroom 2 bath house in Florida and im not bragging just an example of how God always shows up and shows out because I thought I was going to live there forever but after praying for a move "He Did It!" I had people harassing me nonstop so definitely had to relocate. Keep up those good habits and positive attitude. Your home is your sanctuary

I love when there is actually a mess when someone says it's messy. My fridge definitely can get like yours was. I agree with the gal that said get some freezer bags and storage bins. I still need to get the bins. I do however, now, put any meat I to a storage bag or large bowl if I put in fridge to thaw. I hate to clean up dry blood, or wet. Your place is bigger than my first place my husband and I had, then first child. It wasn't even low income, dang did it suck. Nope didn't live in a big city either. Just somewhere what cost of living was high. But it is a beautiful town. I agree your home definitely shows how your mind is. Mine is getting better but still have my squirrel moments. Busy busy. Start looking for a 2nd hand steam cleaner for floors at a 2nd hand shop, I got one for 5.00 myself - a baby shark was the brand it does wonders to clean out a refrigerator, NO cleaners are needed since the steam sterilises and cleans the entire inside of your refrigerator and freezer! You use the steamer and a dishcloth to wipe off everything dirty that comes off without having to scrub, and your job will be done in no time and while you are steam cleaning the huge appliance, To save time, you already removed all the refrigerator parts that are loose and put them in your bathtub soaking in warm water with some ammonia, Everything will come out clean and all you have to do is wipe them dry and place them back in your refrigerator. Also pull the refrigerator away from the wall and vacuum the coil system behind and vacuum under the refrigerator as well, steam clean the top and door and handles of the refrigerator. 🌹
