Urax is a good ambassador for the breed, which I'm new to. I leave measuring cups in my dogs' food containers. The cups help me feed them the right amount.

Superb video - thanks so much for sharing Urax with all of us dog lovers! My parents are moving far away this year, and taking our dog with them. My work is talking about an "Office Dog" to greet customers & keep up morale. I would be primary owner, only leaving them with a colleague for annual leave. I'm seriously considering a Vallhund for their size, health and temperament. In your opinion, would they be happy 9am to 5pm in an office environment? It would get 2 long walks at around 7am and 7pm, and a play at lunchtime. Many thanks in advance for your experienced opinion on this - best regards!

Thanks for watching! I really can’t say bechause I know some Swedish Vallhund that barks so much and really loudly, I think it’s about the individual dog’s personality

Thank you for leaving a comment, when Urax barks we recognise that we hear him and if someone is comeung we appreciate him “alarming”😊 but then we tell him to stop and try to distract him with something, a toy or a bone 🐶

@@sweetcountryhome We had already faced this problem with our two dachshunds when our SV Thor came to live with us. The dachshunds are a real challenge: they will start barking if a flea farts in China and just wind each other up into pandemonium. The problem is that we do want the dogs to alert but then we want them to shut up when we tell them to. The best that we found to do is is to command "that's enough" and then at that point either squirt them with a squirt bottle or put lemon juice in their mouth.
