The thing I liked about watching your video is how authentic you wanted your experience to be. You get people flying across the world heading to the pacific just to stay in a fancy resort/hotel like really what’s the point. Big thumbs up from me definitely watching more of your videos. Ofa atu toko ♥️♥️

Just came back from here. And I lived like a local. Such an amazing experience. Growing up here in America it’s very different and it’s made me realize how blessed I am. I loved the lookout!! The water was amazing!!! The beach are beautiful!! The bridge was so much fun. I hated walking up the millions of stairs for the hike but didn’t regret it because the view was worth it. I miss my family there. My dad grew up there and has over 100 acres of land. And it was a blessing to go back and see where my father grew up. One thing I will say though, I do not miss that bell. It went off at the most random times. But I did love the singing. They would sing late hours into the night. It was amazing. Also, I don’t miss those annoying rosters. I almost strangled one. Haha!! Love my culture. So happy I went home for a little bit. I plan to come back soon!!!
@aperezvoyages5 жыл бұрын
+Tiana Vakaafi This comment made my day! So awesome you had the opportunity to live such an experience! Even moreso that you have family ties and roots to the land, give you even deeper of a perspective of your family tree. So awesome! You're absolutely right about the morning drums and damn roosters. But the sound of the church singing was bliss despite struggling to sleep well hehe. Where abouts in the states do you resist now? How was that roundtrip flight ?
@tianawynn53375 жыл бұрын
Anthony Perez I’m in Utah. So the ride home was.... ehhhh long. 😂 we left vavau a couple days before our flight because we had to take the boat back and it only comes every other day I guess. That was hard. Saying goodbye to my family was hard. We all cried a lot haha. Anyway, we headed back to the main Island where we stayed for two days before getting on the plain back to Fiji. And then Fiji to San Francisco. And finally San Francisco to SLC. Tiring trip but we all made it home. And have been home now for 2 weeks! :)
@aperezvoyages5 жыл бұрын
Yea i figured that trip was hella long. But worth the journey. They have non stop flights from vava'u to Fiji but not sure how frequent they are. And yea the boat service in Tonga is not the most reliable. I had to book a flight to Vava'u because they send their fast boat to Fiji for maintenance. Come to find out a few weeks later, they repainted the boat to their rugby teams color. Haha. Anywho, glad you're back and settled. I'm sure the time spend allowed you to live and see things in a new light. Tongans are the kindest hearts ever, proud of their culture, their land, and best of all the best sense of community. Hope you have a chance to revisit someday! :D

Just WOW. THANK YOU SO MUCH for shinning light and letting others around see the small Kingdom of Tonga, even more, you got to experience the life of a small humble family. This is the norm growing up in Tonga. I myself was born and raised in New Zealand and had been sent to Tonga for 3 years, and boy, do I dare say has impacted my life in so much ways to be able to understand what it means to live with nothing and appreciate EVERYTHING. To learn what it means to come from a humble home and embrace true happiness (non-materialistic things). I will never forget my time back in Tonga and therefore seeing this, I humbly appreciate that you are able to share this with the world Anthony. I STILL HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS THOUGH lol Like how did you get in touch with your host family in Tonga seeing that it was your first time in Tonga? I think this would be perfect for another video - Q&A's because as I said, I got many and I'm sure my Tongan brothers and sisters do too lol You have gained a subscriber and a sister dear Anthony! with my utmost respects, I tip my hat off to you! Ofa atu brother

Malo e lelei! If this ain’t the most damn awesome comment ever! You make a good point and recommendation for a q&a style video. I actually might consider doing that! You’re three years to my month in Tonga yet still, that month changed my life entirely and also molded to become a better person. It was the first of a number of other pacific islands I’ve been to on that trip. I think I said in the video, if the world and it’s people modeled it’s values in life and how we love our community and work together, it would literally be the answer to world peace! Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to write this beautiful heart felt comment. It’s comments like these that make me happy to see my true desire for how I travel, gets transcribed into a KZbin video and hopefully reaches peoples hearts(hope that made sense). Thank you again for your words and glad it’s brought so much joy to you and your Tongan heart! 💙 Ofa atu💙

Anthony Perez My notifications aren’t on so best believe i’ll be checking in for a new video 🥰 I definitely feel you! it is no exaggeration when we say to visit these places because they really do change the mentality of many because it really strips you of all the materialistic things and show pure joy and happiness from showing compassion and love. The core values of a Tongan is divided into 4: 1. Fakaapaapa: Respect 2. Loto tō: Humility 3. Mamahi Me’a: Strong desire to make it happen 4. Tauhi Va: Maintain good relationship with others As I mentioned, I am humbly grateful to see that your selfless voyage shows the life of a nation that don’t have much in terms of materialistic things but I can assure you that we have an abundance of love and gratitude to always help others even if they don’t even ask. Bless your heart for being able to showcase this and may goodness, kindness and success always find you wherever you may be on the maps of the world. I look forward to see more of your journey in the future ps. Definitely let me know or anyone you know who is going to travel to Tonga so that we may host you! I know people too who are also willing to open their humble homes to you all. Ofa atu ❤️

I appreciate that. My style and focus on KZbin is different than what’s out there. Glad that it’s appreciated and enjoyable! 💙🤙🏽🌺

@@aperezvoyages Aww, no problem! It's a lot more of a realistic POV. Idc for all those pictures of rich people sunbathing in an infinity pool on an island. It's such a selfish perspective. So, your videos have unique take. Thanks for sharing them with us and allowing us vicariously to get to know these islands and the islanders!

My Island!! My dads childhood home is the house right across from the Pua hotel! With the mango tree! That’s amazing!
