Solomon is teaching how empty this life is without Christ. The Jewish people were very focused on keeping ALIVE in our physical bodies. Jesus came to them to give them “eternal life” in Him. They turned Him down. So He “invited everyone to the Banquet, from the highways and byways”, the Gentiles. But He asked one, “why are you not wearing ‘wedding clothes’?” The wedding clothes we need for the Banquet are His robe of “ righteousness and joy and peace in the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 14:17). Our lives are in His hands. “Redeem the time”, because no one knows. Jesus said, “do not worry for tomorrow, because tomorrow will worry for itself.” Matthew
