INSPIRING!! Success depends on the actions or steps you take to achieve it. Building wealth involves developing good habits like regularly putting money away in intervals for solid investments. Financial management is a crucial topic that most tend to shy away from, and ends up haunting them in the near future.., I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life!!

These are very valuable rules for anybody who wants to get rich. Unfortunately, most people who will watch this video will not really be able to apply the principles. We may not want to admit, but as Warren Buffett once said, investing is like any other profession-- it requires a certain level of expertise. No surprise that some people are losing a lot of money in the bear market, while others are making hundreds of thousands in profit. I just don't know how they do it. I have about $109k now to put in the market.

Given the prevailing market conditions and the potential risks associated with the current economy, I would recommend refraining from investing in stocks for now. Instead, it would be prudent to consider retaining a portion of your assets in gold. Alternatively, seeking advice from a financial advisor could provide valuable guidance in this matter.

Managed to pay off my debt by 2019 and currently have a house and 250k total in investments (combo of profit share, 401k and a brokerage account). I'm not very knowledgeable in investing, so I just have my investing currently in index funds mainly Too but have been putting a lot into Schd the past few months. I can't applaud the young lady enough for starting her own business, at the age of 21/22. Being an entrepreneur is really the best way to achieve financial freedom AND peace of mind. When you become your own boss, the sky is the limit and your salary/income will never be capped. Also, you won't have to worry about getting "fired," or being unemployed or having to placate to office politics or making another person rich. I wish Gabriella Carter continued success with her thriving business, that adds real value.

You can get "fired" if you lose clients. You can be unemployed if your business is no longer profitable because of situation within or outside of your control. You have to deal with the politics of the others with whom you engage as a part of your business activities. Also, if you eventually have a staff and an office, then you'll have office politics. Another thing--you can go into debt for your business.

I applaud Gabby for her dedication to getting as many scholarships as possible for school and finding a way to set herself up for post-grad life. Gold is often seen as a safe-haven asset that can protect against inflation and economic uncertainty. But like any investment, it carries risks. To determine if gold is the right investment option for you, an investment advisor can help you weigh the potential benefits and risks of investing in gold. They can also help you create a well-diversified portfolio that includes gold as part of a broader investment strategy. An investment advisor can help you decide how much of your portfolio should be allocated to gold and select other investments that can complement your gold holdings.

Securing scholarships is challenging and requires dedication, it really is like gambling. You can apply for hundreds and not get a single one. Gabriella's success & story shows her hard work and intelligence. Parents should also foster academic and entrepreneurial growth in their children. I know most working-class parents don't have the time or resources to invest in their kid's education, but the best thing you can do is emphasize the importance, help where you can, and create an environment that pushes them to succeed. Students with mediocre stats or no financial need, should focus on schools with good financial aid, minimize the need for loans, and work during school. Being realistic and strategic while applying for scholarships.

She received $2 million in scholarship offers from various schools and programs, a common achievement among top students, with several at my high school reaching similar figures. At Princeton, she probably had tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands in scholarships and grants annually, covering not only tuition but also living expenses. Her refund checks were probably several thousand dollars per semester, combined with her work income, enabling her to save over six figures by graduation (4 years). This is remarkable, as most students graduate with debt or minimal income, she was essentially getting paid to go to school. Very insane, Most working adults cannot even save $20k in 4 years let alone 6 figures.

The options for many young Jamaicans are limited to the tourism sector (working at a hotel), bauxite, agriculture and a small business and financial service sector. Fifty percent of the government’s revenue is used to service debt (e.g. the IMF), leaving them with little for infrastructure improvement, which could employ thousands of Jamaicans. i got refund checks in college (not 2M) and they were life saving. as someone who was low incone & couldn't rely on their parents financially, i was able to pay for those "non" tuition/school expenses without penny pitching or stressing. I could choose to drop a class during a stressful semester without financial worry. I could buy myself lunch during busy days. I still worked too but I didn't have the stress of "I have to work", if i had an exam to study for, I wouldn't feel financially obligated to go to work & i'd just call-in. I was able to work a low paying internship too / volunteering my skills to grow my professional career & portfolio. Everyone should apply for scholarships!!! Especially if you're low income. Not having the extra cash puts you at a disadvantage. It's not just about affording the tuition. ONE THING THOUGH, you do have to pay taxes on your refund checks because it counts as your income. That was a huge shocker for me. I was paying 2k in taxes a year but I was fine with it because I was like "well they paid everything else for me so 2k isn't that much", I just saved up a portion of my scholly money for taxes.

She seems like she's just getting started. If she was willing to work that hard to win those scholarships then she will definitely gain more success before 30 and 40. She's clearly smart but Savvy.

She needs to be transparent. Most money she makes is from brand deals and adrevenue. She does not make that much form consultations. If someone wants to get money like she did, be aware it’s not as easy as she makes it sound. You gotta grind

Her background also helped her get those scholarships (i.e., black female, immigrant parents, first to go to college).

From the title I already knew she was an immigrant. There are tons of scholarships for "black" immigrants but none for the so called black Americans who aren't immigrants.

im so jealous of her, shes only 22 and making a lot more than me, and im 28, my goal is to make a salary of 50k on my own, im doubtful that ill ever make it to the level of income she is at, but im proud of her. im a CNA, going to start LPN school and maybe take some CLEP exams for transferrable college credit, live in the midwest in a small town. im a cautionary tale, do NOT drop out of college, dont get lazy, take studies seriously otherwise you will end up like me, which im not saying its bad but i did learn my lesson so now im kind of playing catch up.

It does not cost $2 million to go to college (though it may feel like it). Continuing to apply for scholarships when you already have more than enough to pay your way is pretentious, decadent, and selfish. Taking those awards that you don’t need means someone else who does need them isn’t going to get them.

Billions of scholarship and grant money doesn’t get awarded every year. So, she most likely didn’t “take” money from anyone because they didn’t apply.
@drewconway7135
@drewconway7135 Жыл бұрын
@@youareenough4978 You are assuming that no one else applied for all the scholarships she was awarded. That is incredibly specious reasoning. Also, many of the scholarships that are not awarded are for very specific things-either at specific (small) schools or in niche fields of study.
@nieceykelz9812

Scholarships usually get awarded around the same time. So there is a good chance she was awarded all those scholarships at once. It’s a technique they taught in high school. Which is apply for every scholarship you come across even if you are unsure you qualify because you will at least get one or two. This girl did the same but was just better than most people. What she didn’t use most likely went back into the next scholarship pool. It’s more perseverance than anything else. To get that many scholarship she must have wrote so many essays.

I mean sure, all the power to Gabby, but there are some clear disconnects here in this video, right? She pulled 2M in scholarships and 'refunded checks' but worked 3 jobs? Studied medical anthropology, got certified in African American studies plus philosophy but landed a job in global marketing? Graduated with 6 figure bank account and went to do a 9 to 5 before deciding to pursue an influencer lifestyle? As much as I appreciate the Make It series, I feel like this episode in particular was strung together much less professionally than the rest.
