BEFORE YOU WATCH: I made this video in the same style as Millennial Money on CNBC because I thought it would be kind of funny to have that same effect! otherwise, I would just talk to the camera normally. (It felt weird to make a “documentary” video about my finances I promise I’m not that obsessed with myself lol) I hope you enjoy getting a behind the scenes look at the finances of myself, and really KZbinrs in general. I really think if I can do it, anyone can - not overnight, but I figured hey, maybe this will inspire someone to start a channel? Anyway, hope you enjoy! It feels very weird to put this info out there but I really appreciate when other KZbinrs do so I gave it a shot!

This was one of your best videos. Can part two of this be more about how you save and distribute what you have left over? What I love about you the most is how financially literate you are at a relatively young age. You could be living closer to your means but you live way below them and you always seem to be looking for ways to save more - whether that's by cooking more, not delegating every aspect of your production, etc. I also take my hat off to you for sharing and being so transparent with your life. I've been in tech sales for over 18 years and I live a film worthy life (according to others) but I'm just too private and don't want everyone on the internet to know!

A fabulous documentary and thank you for your honesty & transparency... how refreshing it is to see one sharing this kind of information with anyone interested at such a young age. :) Prepayment of mortgage principle is a sure fire way to pay off your mortgage early. Print out a copy of your amortization schedule. Add any amount of money to your current payment each month, equal to or greater than next months principle and you will pay off your mortgage in half the time or less. Adding next months principle to each payment is the same as paying an entire payment (P&I) at the bottom of your amortization schedule. Cheers!

You mentioned at 4:26 (and in a prior video) that you're planning to get solar panels for the Palm Springs house - going to make a video about that? Worth noting that the rules around credits for exported solar energy in California are changing soon - the payback time will likely be quite a bit better if you submit your utility application now versus waiting until after the April 14th cutoff date.
