To be a successful business owner and investor, you have to be emotionally neutral to winning and losing. Winning and losing are just part of the game. Risk comes from not knowing what you are doing.

Prioritizing effective personal finance management holds greater significance than the sheer amount saved, irrespective of income source. We may not like to acknowledge it, but as Warren Buffett famously stated, investing is like any other profession: it takes a certain amount of knowledge. It's no surprise that some people are losing a lot of money during the bear market, while others are profiting by hundreds of thousands. I'm just not sure how they do it. I now have around $570k to invest in the market.

@BlissfulDee5 ай бұрын
I like your list of habits. However, one thing about you, Shelby, which doesn't apply to everyone is that you have always had a supportive family. You had that as a cushion, especially when you started out as a teenager on YT. I would say that all very successful "high net worth" people have supportive family and/or friends they can count on. Connections. Many people out there who want to make money and be successful don't have that kind of support and may even come from very tough or abusive backgrounds. Or have experienced homelessness. It's super hard to dig oneself out of a bad situation or get anywhere in the world when you're alone and have no safety net.

Currently, things appear to be odd. Inflation is reducing the value of the US dollar, but it is strengthening in comparison to other currencies and commodities like real estate and gold. People are switching to the dollar because they believe it is safer. I worry that the rising cost of living may cause the value of my retirement savings to decline. We could put our cash right now.

I live all of these habits and unfortunately, I still won´t become a millionaire by the time I retire unless the stock market goes super super well. @LL-rx8un5 ай бұрын
all she did in the video was buy 1 share every so often of "VOO" which is a Vanguard fund, which tracks the S&P 500, kinda like a 401K but she is buying shares every so often herself on an app instead of the 'managed' 401K. The S&P often goes up over time, but buying shares (especially when it has gone down) can over time increase the value of your money. Just consistently buying 1 share (or even fractional shares where you can buy a fraction of a share if you dont have the money for 1 share), over time likely increases. Your fund can sometimes loose money- there is always risk (like dips during housing crash and covid) but it usually rebounds. Vangaurd funds that track indexes like (S&P, Nasdaq, Dow) are the safest bets. I WOULD NOT "day trade" if clueless as people often will loose their money and NEVER buy penny stocks. Take it safe and buy parts or 1 share of Vanguard funds every so often is the message she was doing.

Cooking is such a necessary habit. I am never eating out for as long as I live. I cook all my meals. Increase food storage to bank on pantry items if inflation feels impossible to beat or prefer not to take multiple trips to grocery shop. Turning an entire closet into a pantry can save on grocery bills & invest money for the long term. Also eating is like a lifelong need, so you might as well develop meal prepping and budgeting habits from just that. I'm 23 and my goal networth is 3 million. I'm hopefully gonna manifest that if I invest every month from what I save on cooking from home and groceries.

such a good video, for me it has been hard to grow like i am at 42 and trying to reach 1k so i can focus on content creating but getting there has been so hard and people rarely watch the videos so at times it just feels easier to quit but i dont want to because i love doing this now and i am just hoping to reach 1000 by the end of the year and will keep putting in the effort for hopefully good results!! 💚💚💚💚💚

You can do it!! I can relate to this so much! It’s so hard to keep going when no one is watching but I can see from your videos people are watching! Your comment section on one of your videos is so engaged! Keep going!!
