Does the marina become your postal address?

In our case it doesn’t.... as we move around quite a lot, we use my Moms address for the important stuff, Banks etc, but we get gifts and online stuff delivered to the Marina. Have you seen Narrowboat Chefs vlog about mail? That was really interesting and I love that you didn’t edit the beginning because clearly Shell was right to discuss the parking. Before she suggested discussing why you were moving, I was assuming all sorts of things had gone wrong! When you said it was parking I felt let down. I was anticipating something much more exciting. The new marina chandlery looks just like Waitrose 😬 but on a serious note, if you’re only a few miles away I’m sure Ocado will deliver and all those impulse buys you indulge in now will stop, so that will be boring but a good thing. I loved both of you presenting this video so can we see more of Shell in the future? Finally, will we be invited to your big day? Thanks for a great video. I loved the Hong Kong, Japan, China comments and have a great story. Well I think it’s great! I started working in the PO when I was 16 and British Visitor Passports (BVPs) were issued there. At that time (in the olden days) Hong Kong residents were eligible for BVPs. Not long after I started. I was interviewed by the immigration department . Apparently I’d broken the law! I’d issued a passport to someone who live in China. At 16 and following a comprehensive education I asked, is China not in Hong Kong? I now think that’s hilarious but not as hilarious as where they came from in China. After the interview my colleagues were concerned and asked why I was interviewed and I said “I’m in trouble, I issued a BVP to someone who lives in Fuke in China”. Everyone burst out laughing and I genuinely didn’t get the joke! 40 years later this sounds like fabrication but this is absolutely true.

Have you done a price comparison between being moored in a marina and being a continuous cruiser? would be good to know the costs involved so i can make a informed decision when I decide to take the plunge! Oh just one observance that music at the beginning, is like someone running their fingers down a blackboard!

Oh, we love that music....... price comparison is tricky as we don’t continuous cruise. I imagine it’s not dissimilar in costs TBH as the amount you spend on mooring fees would equate to your fuel and maintenance and wear and tear of the boat. I’m pretty sure the CRT license is the same. Good luck whichever you decide to do ❤️🌱💚

Flying to Singapore on Thursday to stock up on vegan food, cheeses,v. butter, Cliff Bars etc. In the meantime while I have to fly to another country for supplies you could throw a stick down the aisle of any UK supermarket and you're likely to hit some vegan options haha :)

Hey Zefram, our drone is the entry level DJI Spark.... I got it as a refurbished one, so it was a bargain. You can only shoot 720 on it but you can upscale it in editing, but it’s perfect for our needs... Good luck with getting one...👍
