Cleaning the stove glass: All you have to do is take 2wet paper towels dab it in the last ash of your last fire and use that on the glass works immediately and it only costs 2 paper towels.

If I come across a 12x70 Dutch Barge Hull I’ll surly step off land for good. Barge Hulls everywhere but commercial size, don’t think that would ever happen. Love your canal systems. Watched many of the Longboat VLoggers videos and there are some Grand Historical sites along all the canals. I think that is so cool. And like the Mississippi all the villages, towns, cities and all the pubs and eateries. Absolutely a Grand Time with mostly Grand People. Welp keep it on top not on the bottom you have a Great n Grand Day.

To start with, try ROSOl soup.(pronounced Rossoo) In a big pot, boil a small whole chicken, with a whole carrot, onion, stick of celery, a leek, four or five peper corns, salt, 2 bay leaves and a vegetable stock cube. Boil slowly for 2 hours. Meanwhile cook four handfuls of pasta of your choice Discard the vegetables and bay leaves. Shred some of the chicken meat and add to the soup. We eat the soup with the pasta which has been been pre-cooked I personally like a splash or two of Worcester Sauce in mine.

I've used oil-filled heaters for years and they are totally safe if you keep them a little distance from any objects that might heat up too much. They are very sturdy and won't tip over. Of course, my home isn't moving so there's that. 😊 I like how they put out a steady, gentle heat. It would be great if you left the boat for a while. I wouldn't like to come home to a frigid boat! Awesome that you are signed up for Crick. Hope this year has better weather but it will still be fun meeting up with other boaters and your fans. Ah, eye problems... ☹ I always say the only problem I don't have with my eyes is macular degeneration. I need a second corneal transplant, have had cataract surgery, have retinal flashes, astigmatism, and glaucoma. I really didn't win the vision lottery. 👀 Anthony, glad your problem didn't mess up that much-needed holiday. ❤ It looks like a lovely place to go.

Agree Dorothy, the oil filled radiator was a god send. We had a great holiday thanks. Shame Paul got Covid but all good now. My eye it turned out wasn’t a detached retina but a clouding of the capsule. I have had laser this Thursday and it seems to have done the trick. You do sound like you have a lot going on with yours. @@anthonysmith-storey9247 My house cools down too much between the runnings of the furnace. The heater works to keep the chill at bay and I have one cat that loves to sleep by it. Even better than that I love warm weather with no heat needed and that will come before long. Then soon after we can complain about the heat. ☺ Glad to hear that it wasn't a detached retina and that the correction was a success. Most of my problems are corrected or under control but I do need that second surgery. I've put it off for about as long as I can. For sure Crick will be lots of fun. Hi Paul/Anthony: An oiled filled electric heater is fantastic. I've had mine for years as a "spare heat" during the winter in my 100 year old home and I love it. It is a steady heat, no blower to it, is very safe, with no fumes/flames, etc. You'll love it. Take care out there guys . Travel safe and watch that cough.

I love the ice cracking under foot when you walk across the grass. I’m impressed with the fire cleaner. Dex you really are a poser baby boy, that was so funny the way you looked at the camera after your beautiful clip then again at the end of the vlog, love ya to bits Dex. Somehow managed to miss the part about Anthony’s eye problems. I’ve had three detached retinas ( two in one eye 🤪) so I feel your pain. My eyesight has never been better tho after a Len’s replacement in one eye. I’m sure it will all be good. Hey Guys...hope you're well. Loved the video. Too bad you caught Covid Paul. At least you didn't get it during your holiday. The resort looked nice, I've never been to Gran Canaria. Anthony I'm making that soup tomorrow, I'm sure you can have Leak and Potato chilled in Summer too. It sounded delicious. I keep my stove glass clean by dipping wet kitchen towel in the wood ash then rubbing it into the glass then clean off with another piece of kitchen towel. I find it always does a great job. Dexter looked very smart after his pamper. Bless him at the end with his paw. take care Guys .....

Hi James we used to visit Gran Canaria every January for some winter sun. We really missed it the past two years. I’m convinced I got Covid from the gym while on holiday. We used to clean with the kitchen towels and ash but found it scratched the glass. The soup Anthony made was delicious. Dexter is such a character 💕

Try using a dab of ash on a damp sheet of kitchen roll to clean the glass. The polish looks good!

I had my new Mobility scooter delivered but it was just awful and rickety so I've asked them to take it back and chosen a slightly bigger one much sturdier but I have to take the size into account because it has to fit into the lift. Ah, the holiday video! Very pretty! A couple of hundred years ago, my mom's people left the Canaries, to float across the Atlantic westwards, so I know I have some distant cousins there. Anthony's cooking looked scrumptious! What a yummy, rich leek & potato soup! Dexter looked so handsome, with his nice grooming! Glad you guys have gotten over the illness - very soon it will be Summer! (Did I use enough exclamation points? ;) )

Hi Paul, Anthony and Dexter Dog, I bet you were pleased to eventually get to your Marina winter moorings. Paul, I bet you felt awful when your hand caught on Anthony's eye. Was Anthony being cheeky again!!!! Poor Anthony, but I am so glad he is OK. The fire surround came up really sparkly using the cleaners Anthony ordered. Your holiday looked really good fun. @@anthonysmith-storey9247 That's weird isn't it, could have been a false positive. Sons girlfriend works at a home for adults with Down syndrome & they had a PCR done weekly & lat flows. She sent the PCR off on the thursday, came to ours on the friday & stayed until the saturday, then on the sunday the PCR result came back positive. No symptoms. A lat flow was then faint line. But after that negative ones. None of us caught it off her even though we all shared the house/bathroom. So I do wonder if false positives are more common than they think. Unless we just don't catch it, we don't catch Flu either, maybe there's something in that x
