I do know a little about Framingham but haven't had many clients in that area

Lots of traffic impossible during the day but otherwise close to Boston large Brazilian and immigrant community so not very rich area but houses aren’t cheap schools aren’t the safest or best probably

US 1 actually starts at the Canadian border, goes through Downtown Boston, Providence, etc. and ends at Key West. You are correct that driving through Boston or the other cities is not for the faint of heart. In colonial times Quincy and Braintree were the same place, and one of the oldest buildings in the US is at the John Adams, Abigail Adams and John Quincy Adams sites. Towns like Walpole were founded in the early 18th Century, which means you can accidentally buy and ruin a very old house, like my brother who put on a new roof and siding, and was then unable to get registration as a historic building. Perhaps you might want to make a pitch to history buffs looking for antique houses or furnishings. Unfortunately, the New England area is full of such, but has either been picked clean or priced out of reach.

The historic homes point is definitely a good thing for people to keep in mind! Some of the requirements can be pretty rigid, especially with some neighborhoods in Boston like beacon hill

@@LivingBoston Outside the city as well. My uncle bought a lot that had a tree near the center. When he tried to clear the lot to build a house, the tree near the center was protected. And it can be the intended style, too. McDonalds had to change their building styles in Plymouth, Nantucket Is. and a few other places in Massachusetts. Sometimes neighborhoods prohibit certain colors. and developments may be even more restrictive. Know the codes and the property before buying!
