Congratulations on 33 years!! My husband and I are coming up on our 25th year and we also dated for 4 years before we were married. 😊 Love to hear about longevity marriage. I love that I have the same man in my life every day! Yes!! God has to be the center always. I say my husband and my roots are so deep and interwoven that I guess only death would separate us. Found you not so long ago. We had the same problems. Bought 60 pickle barrels @$15 a piece, cut them in half to make 120 raised planters and planted about 30 of them with slips we had started. We had sooo many sweet potatoes it wasnt even funny. We discovered we had to dig to the bottom of each half-barrel to harvest them all. Every year since then we have harvested the same huge amounts. No pests. We organically rejuvenate the half barrels each winter. So easy to harvest vs planting in the ground. We are about the same age as yall, so we were looking to make things easy to keep up with over the upcoming years. This was the solution for us.
