I like the idea how you stained those cabinets,I didn’t get the color stained,because I’m trying to get my cabinets to look light too, but I just can’t get it right. What was that color stain you use ,because that’s a pretty color stain

Thanks. I’m sorry it’s not going right. Take a sample of what you want to the paint store and have them custom make you a stain. That’s what I had to do and then tweak it a bit myself for the darker hue now

Just reminding your viewers that IKEA firniture of all kinds is not solid wood. It is fiberboard and not made to last. Emily, your cabinets will be 100 percent better quality than IKEA. You are a very talented woodworker and decorator. Great job.

I’m surprised you didn’t do more research before having your fireplace walls built. Also, I take it you don’t follow XO Macenna . She built her whole fireplace wall. She also built all the cupboards in her kitchen. You’ve been DIYing for years. If she could do it so can you. How did you determine the size of the fireplace wall insert? Are you doing all the finish wood things like door frames, dust boards? If not, couldn’t your millwright have built your cupboards? So many questions I would have thought you would have settled before building. This is not your first rodeo. What are you going to do about a mantle?
