I’m working on my entryway or foyer. My whole home has an Afro bohemian think Jungalow at Target look. It’s vibrant and colorful against a white beige background. My spring refresh just means cleaning up and brining home more fresh flowers 🌸 💐 to my space.

I had not been in Hobby Lobby in over a year but I went in this past week while in the city for an appointment and I was so inspired with looking at all the things they had to decorate with. I change things up seasonally but simply at home and using more red highlights in my kitchen and living area. I saw a picture of a church that was really simple and looked like a canvas, not sure if it was and I think I'm going back to get it for over my fireplace.

Hi Nikki. Your home is so Lovely. I started Spring Cleaning March 1. My husband and I started with decluttering and then painting. We painted our bedroom and added some Spring touché with new comforters, sheet, and photos for the wall. Our bedroom was beige but everything is now white and ocean blue. We also did the same in the bathrooms. This weekend we are going to refresh the paint in our living room and dining room. Our walls are white and a very light shade of grey. I was thinking of also adding different shades of blue in both rooms. We have guests coming April 9 for my Mother’s 80 Birthday, so trying to get the guest room s done as well as the on suite bathrooms. Just going to add a few greens in those rooms and change out the sheets, comforters and reading material in there. May 1 we will be gardening both the front of our home and our yard. I want to clean off all the patio furniture and buy new cushions. Since we have a pool and hot tub we kinda go beach theme every year. Just not sure what I will do this year in our sunroom and patio. I will be going to Hobby Lobby and Kirklands to do some shopping Friday evening. Take Care Nikki and have a Great Week!

Nikki, I must admit you surprised me with the yellow/mustard color that you chose. I thought you was going to go with a light sage green since I know green is your favorite color. But I like it! A tip my mom gave me...even if your candles are purely decorative you always want to light them just to blacken the wicks. It gives them a more natural & casual feel rather than just new bright white unused wicks. Tnx for sharing the redo.

Beautiful refresh Nikki. I have that same copy of Tolstoy too but have never finished the book. Been trying to read it for pushing 2 decades now…can’t even finish the movie Anna Karenina 😭 Last weekend I refreshed my bedroom for spring. Changed to yellows too but a soft pale yellow and deep cleaned my bathroom. Will tackle my office/sewing space soon to get the creativity flowing again.

I tend to add blue and green accessories. I love all shades of blue but only light to olive green. I refreshed my bedding recently. Got a new sheet set in a constellation print. I also got a quilt but the only one I could find in a fiber I'm not allergic to was a king size quilt which I have to wash in an industrial size machine. My bed is actually just a full size.

Love your refreshed room. Just had a new kitchen fitted so lounge full of boxed kitchen items. Decorator coming next week to paint kitchen ceiling, walls and doors, so just painted my door hardware myself in hammered silver instead of brass to match new brushed chrome and black light switches and electric sockets. Tried to replace with new but nothing same size so paint cheaper option and looking so good now.
