Our house has become cramped with various items, such as antique baskets and etc. bought at flea markets. We need more storage to keep things neat and tidy! So this vlog will show you how we made DIY storage shelves and cute storage boxes by hand. The first thing I did was to remake some old boxes that I couldn't throw away and turn them into storage boxes. It's a traditional French craft, but I was taught an easier way to do it, so even a beginner like me managed to make some lovely, pretty storage boxes!
And to tidy up the living room, which was completely overloaded with stuff and clutter, I incorporated a storage cabinet. A shelf that could be placed next to the sofa and could hold not only lots of books, but also antique baskets and vases, yet still not feel oppressive. Such dream shelves cannot be bought on the market. So my husband, Tsu-san, made it for me as a DIY project to match the image of the ideal shelves I had drawn up.
As well as DIY, we also redecorated the wall next to the dining table, which had been boring, by decorating it with pretty paintings.
After the DIY and redecoration, we had a late lunch. This time it was pasta with a spicy tomato cream sauce, a dish I've been enjoying recently and making often.
It's easy to make, but the secret ingredient makes it absolutely delicious, so if you're interested in making it, please give it a try.

Ingredients for spicy tomato cream pasta (for three people)
300 g short pasta of your choice
1 clove garlic
80 g chorizo
2 tbsp olive oil
Pinch each of dried thyme and oregano
Pinch of salt
A pinch of piment d'Espelette (or pepper if not available)
1 can stewed tomatoes (400 ml)
2 tbsp cream cheese
80 ml rum
20 g grated Parmigiano Reggiano
A few basil leaves (or dried if not available)
