This is my dream, to study in Mauritania and either stay stat there to start a family or move to Indonesia after to start a family. Growing up in an atheist western home was so damaging to me and I could never put a child through it in the west.

Alhamdulilah our Shaykh Hamza Yusuf, who first studied in Mauritania back in the late 70s sent many of us to this blessed and beautiful place, but many of us left for Syria and Yemen between 1996 and 2005. Beautiful memories Allahu Akbar.

An individual must first make sincere Duaa to Allah and ask Allah for beneficial knowledge ("Ilm An-Naafi) One must seek knowledge for the sake of Allah to use the knowledge to better worship Allah and teach the people and not for worldly gains. Shaytan never stops whispering (waswasa) in men's hearts (sudor). Perform five daily salaah with pure intentions, khushoo, and knowledge and cry to Allah saying "Yaa Rabee zidnee "ilmaa" May Allah rectify our affairs and make us from among the Fuqahaa bi idhnilaah.
