A unique behind the scenes look into Mongolian nomads migrating to their winter location with their herd of animals. Incredible daily life of nomads.
ALL MONGOLIA VIDEOS: bit.ly/3UWYu47
I’m joining a nomadic family to document the process of relocating their ger to their winter home, a tradition that’s been part of their way of life for generations. The day started early, with a journey further into rural Mongolia. The rugged terrain and open landscapes gave me a sense of just how remote this lifestyle is and set the scene for what was ahead.

ABOUT ME:
In 2013, I started my solo travel journey, leaving Indonesia in 2016 to become a full-time traveller and KZbin creator. My background in International Relations has fueled a profound interest in exploring different countries. My content focuses on exploring different cultures through the lens of a solo female traveller, aiming to capture real-life interactions and experiences.
My travels kicked off with a five-month trip across Asia, after which I moved to China in January 2017 to work as an English teacher-my first time living abroad. I left China in 2018 to fully commit to creating videos on KZbin, where I share my travels and the cultures I encounter.
Living nomadically since 2016, I settled in England in early 2022 after marrying my British husband, David. Now based in the UK, I continue to travel and share my adventures on KZbin.

Wow, Syifa, what an incredible pair of documentaries! You’ve done an absolutely phenomenal job. I’m genuinely in awe of how you managed to keep up with the locals without a translator-that’s no small feat. It’s so inspiring to see how deeply you immersed yourself in their world. And those survival skills! It’s mind-blowing to witness how they’re thriving in the middle of nowhere, relying solely on their ingenuity and resourcefulness. Their ability to carve out a decent life in such simplicity is nothing short of extraordinary. Seeing the actual process of modern nomads moving-something I never thought I’d experience-was eye-opening and deeply humbling. Thanks to you, these 30 minutes were some of the most enriching and memorable of my life. You brought their world to us with such clarity and heart. Modern nomads are truly remarkable, and you’ve captured their essence so beautifully. Thank you for sharing this journey-it’s a gift I’ll always treasure.

Hi Syifa. It’s definitely a nice last episode of Mongolia series. I think this video actually teaches us about the life of Mongolian nomadic people as being helpful to their neighbors. This video really teaches us so we can do exactly the same in the city and town world. The way to get rid of their stress is very inspirational. I really with that we can do the same thing just like they do. The kids are so adorable that I seriously want to play with them and pinch their cheeks. Thank you so much for this outstanding video of the nomadic Mongolian life and I can’t wait for you to take us for the next travel series. God bless you.

Yes, dear Syifa, this has been for you a journey like no other. They way you carried out the entire series is incomparable. It wasn't an easy path to cover up going against the harsh climate and rudimentary facilities, yet you managed to do a splendid work. The dismantling and re-assembling of the Yurt was astounding. Just be proud of yourself. And a huge good luck to your new venture.

The editing was even tougher and daunting to put together stories and make it enjoyable to watch! Thank you so so much for your support. Hi Syifa, there is also one interesting thing for you to know, everywhere in Mongolia, no matter where you are, the doors of nomads ger, always face to south ))) 🙏☘️😎 Aan, you new it, I wanted share with you that bit, but you already knew that, excellent !! Such a great job, I admire your patience, smartness, quality of the video, and your hard work )) And of course, you are such a great looking lady )) I take my hat off ))) 🌺🌺🌺 P.S. By the way the"toono" which you said, roof bit in a center, that part also works as clock, when sun rises from east, shade shows exactly what time is now, and goes on, also two pillars in the center, reprsents, husband and wife, who are holding the ger, or the house hold on they shoulders, and that's why, we never pass anything, such as tea, food ext, in between the pillars!! Have a great travels ahead ))) All the best )))

F. Attila❤ Dear Syifa! it was a wonderful and professional video! It was like watching a National Geographic film, enhanced and elevated to a higher level by the fact that you were in it with your many smiles and positive vibes. I haven't seen all of your videos yet, but after today's video I realized, even if YOU don't feel it, that with your videos you are carrying out a "Smile and Love Diplomacy" mission. Yes, and that's what makes your videos so wonderful, humane, and carry a positive message! Congratulations and thank you for your dedicated work! F. Attila❤

The twin girls, quite recently have had a "virgin hair do celebration", where the whole family and friends gather to celebrate! It's called "Үсний найр", literaly, "Hair fiesta", everyone from family, relatives, and friends, starting from granpa, cut of a clock of hair, to keep in sacred little bag, then they give present, or money! When finally, everyone is done, they shave of all the hair, and keep it again! It's an ancient tradition, which says that, after virgin hair is been shaved of, later on hair grows very strong 'n' beautiful! So thats why, girls had a short hair! Girls on even number age (2, 4, 6) boys on odd number age (3, 5, 7) But the parents try to do а "Даахь үргээх" or "Үсний найр" or "Hair fiesta", as early as possible, coz especially girls are shy to go to school with a very short hair )) 😊😊😊

Fascinating. I always just kind of _assumed_ that the people of central Asian countries like Kazakstan looked much more east Asian than Eastern European because they were descended from Mongol invaders, but they don't actually look very similar.

Thank you so much for your interesting comment, Hadron! I could see where your assumption come from. Prior to my travels in Central Asia and Mongolia, I wouldve assumed that everyone look similar. Loved reading this observation. Thanks so much!

Nomads winter stay is located in a same place, due to they have already built there shelters for cattle, in August, filled it with cut grass! Which in turn, through out long Autumn, turns into a hay, as an extra feed base for all cattle, but other three seasons movements can vary, choosing where the grass greener, and water (river) fresher and and in aboundance ))) 🙏☘️😎
