Depression is an illness that is not really understood or broken down on a regular basis so that people who are dealing with depression every hour, every day, every week etc. of their life feel safe talking to loved ones or people around them. With the stigma that seems to be attached to it, I was the same way.
By societies standards, I did not want to be labeled as "Crazy" "Weak" "Inadequate" etc. or demonized by the church. Then those of us who have been at our lowest moments or are at their lowest moment feel like they were or are a burden to their loved ones and friends.
