WAIT A MINUTE I'VE PIECED THE STORY TOGETHER. Okay, so the boys were probably be looking for a victim (it's dark) which is why they were looking for a "roomate" and used the basement as a killing, storage place, thing. They also used the laundry washer/dryer to hide the bodies. This is just a theory, I'm not working on the story, this just makes sense in my head.
