Veronica discusses the challenges of obtaining a diagnosis for endometriosis, emphasizing the limited access to specialized care in Finland. She addresses on the intense physical pain that can leave individuals incapacitated for days, as well as the mental strain of living with a chronic illness that may progressively worsen and that might make it impossible to have children. Finally, she highlights the importance of knowledge and community support in alleviating the daily struggles of living with endometriosis.
The video is part of the digital exhibition Pain Unseen: Narratives of Endometrios, produced as part of the EU-project #ENDOs. The #ENDOs project is a European initiative supported by the Erasmus Plus #education and #training program, dedicated to the education and support of adults facing chronic illnesses, with a particular focus on endometriosis.
