Hey Laura, stay on your supplements for a few months then go to the doctor for a check up. I got anemia when I was in SA and I was on supplements for about 3 years during the 3rd year I was back in zim and I'd accepted that that was my life. When I got back to zim my then doctor told me to stop taking them and I've been off supplements for about 3 years, even went through my pregnancy without them. So I think there's something about SA food that triggered that anemia. My sister also confirmed the same she was also diagnosed with anemia when she was in SA when she came back to zim she was fine then moved to another 1st world country and she's been having anemia, however whenever she's in zim she feels better so just be on the look out you may be able to stop taking the supplements.
