I love your wearing the hat while you're driving! Also I appreciate you sharing your experience around living in community

Absolutely, vetting is key to a good community. The co-op we attended for ended up accepting some small group of families that did not pull their weight at all. I'm not here for others children, I'm here to establish a off-grid community to survive this upcomming hell and we are serious about work ethic. We booted them out almost as quickly as they came in. We are extremely rigid in how we deal with children or families that cannot keep their children in line since then. There's 7 families here with around 18 kids in total but all seem to manage themselves just fine and are well mannered, thankfully. The farm is our main source of food and profit for the co-op so there's no skipping a single day until winter.

@damil5721 sounds like a serious operation there. Whereabouts in the world are you? It's true, that the quicker one can remove, or not include, those that are not contributing the better it is for everyone. Even more so when there's a legit project happening. What are you focused on growing? Are there other activities that bring you together?

@@bendingreeds We just put our foot down, some people are too...whimsical? They are not serious enough when the time counts. We're in the PNW more eastern though, we got our orchards and cherries driving some of the profits but really focused on covering the majority of what we consume. When we first started it was my brother and two friends, we needed knowledge and others came in slowly to aid with the farm and join the co-op. Just the farm and general intertwine of daily life keeps everyone in touch, the main road goes right by the farm so people met frequently. We do have families who wish to remain more secluded and off-grid out here but still come to help or chat.
