I don't quite like how auto makers are getting rid of the spare tire and replacing it with the fix a flat. Sometimes a "Fix a Flat" does not fix everything.

I agree!

The navigation map and weather is updated over 'the air' .. so there isn't a memory card slot. This service is free? Why wouldn't hyundai put a memory card slot for updating ?

Warning to potential buyers: My Santa Fe has been broken into 2x, the alarm doesn’t go off now. The handle was broken and even if they can’t drive off with it, the Kia/ Hyundai challenge still taught enough people how to get in. Dealer experience-it took 5 months to get the spare key that came with the car when I purchased it. The plastic enamel on the wheels flaked off and Hyundai stopped replacing or repairing them. This was in 2020, but I can’t say I’d recommend owning one. It was broken into in 2023 2x. If you do, buy an oil catch can, don’t keep anything valuable in it, and don’t count on the warranty. I’m going to trade mine in next year for a pilot.

Thank you for this! This is definitely an issue I should have covered in the video regarding the security of the vehicle. Thanks for watching!

As long as you don’t live in an area with a high crime rate, the breaking and entering isn’t a problem. I’ve never had my Santa Fe broken into.

Seems like everyones share of santa fe problem have concentrated into only your car

I've had mine since Dec 23. No issues, 25k on the clock.

@ I have 152k on mine. It’s been well maintained (synth oil every 4k, transmission drain and fill, coolant flushed, OCC installed, o2 sensors replaced, etc) and it’s nearing the end of its life. I’ll never go with a Hyundai again

Hi, thanks for the review. In your opinion, would someone that is slim, but 6’8” have enough leg and head room in this vehicle? Of course, we would try it out before purchasing. At the moment, we have and are driving a 2010 Nissan Cube, which we LOVE. It has plenty of room for us, but, it is getting older and could be a little more comfortable seat padding wise, not so much for me, but for the hubs. Thanks for your time.

I just got my 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe Caligraphy about 2 weeks ago. I am really thinking about modifying the rear turn direction signals... that narrow red stripe ... i want to change it to amber colour (wish Hyundai would have thought about that!) Does anyone know of its possible to change from red to amber? What happens if the bulb goes out in one of these turn direction signals? How do access the light panel? From the outer surface of the bumper? Like why is this so compicated??? I emailed the service department at the dealership wheree i bought it. They said they dont do any work like that. Can someone please advise me what i could do ??

Got any updates? Did you figure out how to access the panel? Are you enjoying the Calligraphy?

When I put my car in sport mode the gauges turn red. I didn't see it when you put it on.
@reelfr33kАй бұрын
There is a setting that allows you to check/uncheck the gauges changing with drive mode.

Watching you flip through the screen and accessing CarPlay it didn’t look laggy at all.
@PaulsPlace9 ай бұрын
Yeah unfortunately it didn’t show it there. It definitely was extremely laggy, especially when you first started the vehicle.

Would you get this to replace your CRV?
@PaulsPlace11 ай бұрын
That’s a good question! For me personally, no. There are things that I like better than the CR-V on it, but you really can’t beat the smoothness of the hybrid system on the CR-V. It’s crazy.
@rinbine271311 ай бұрын
@@PaulsPlace You didn't experience Santa fe hybrid. Santa fe hybrid is very very smooth.
@PaulsPlace11 ай бұрын
My wife and I drove one before we bought the CR-V hybrid, it is! The CR-V is on a different level though, it’s crazy.
@nhbountyhunter7 күн бұрын
I have both a 22 CRV and 23 Santa Fe calligraphy. Both are turbo. 1st of all they are not the class of SUV. The CRV is a compact SUV. The Hyundai in that class is the Tucson. But the CRV is more $. I hate my CRV. It's has the worst infotainment system I've ever used. When using car play, if you make a call you can hear the ringing but the the call is picked up it switches back to the radio for 5 seconds. The CRV has tpms but you cannot see individual tire pressures. The CRV has an anemic turbo 4 cylinder mated to a craptastic CVT. It is the best in class CVT but that is like saying Aldi's has the best egg prices at $6 per dozen (Jan 2025). I do get slightly better MPG in the CRV but it is 500lbs lighter and 90hp less. I drive the CRV every day and I hate it. I only got it because of the MPG because I drive a lot and gas mileage is a key metric for me (I do highway miles not town driving so a hybrid has no advantage). I am getting 29mpg on the highway at 65mph and about 27.5mpg at 75mph. The only negative for the Santa Fe is my dealer is booked out 3 months for any service vs the Honda is next day. The funny thing is both dealerships are in the same family of dealers and across the street from each other.

I have a limited version 2022, it's way above RAV and CRV in terms of comfort and luxury feel. Only, that DCT sucks in city traffic, which they had a normal AT on it. Smartstream engine is flawless but tranny makes this not a long lasting car.
