Hats off to the Honda engineers. This is basically a regular CRV with added electric motors at the front - one drives the wheels and one charges the battery from the engine. The engine is really just used as a generator as you are running on electric power most of the time pushing through the same drive train as the regular CRV (transfer case drive shaft, rear differential, etc.). RAV 4 works completely differently as both the engine and the electric motors can drive at the same time at all speeds. I don’t know if one is better, but we went RAV4 as it’s better looking, longer battery warranty, cheaper battery replacement (factor of 5) and more model trim options in Canada (saved $4,000 to $6,000) over CRV (Honda forces a higher trim for hybrids in Canada). Also, you are choosing a first gen hybrid with the Honda - hard to know the risk there as it’s so similar to the non hybrid mechanically.

My only concern is the DCT. Hyundai has had some reliability issues with it in the Santa Fe/Santa Cruz.

I have had my 2024 Kona Limited-Cyber Grey for about 6wks and I love it! I I moved from a '19 Encore to the Kona.I really liked the look of the Kona. I think you either like it or hate it. I got it with the light grey interior, I thought it looked richer than the dark grey. The options were incredible, the heated and cooling seats in a size vehicle like this? The camera views are also great. At 72yrs young, this may be my last car purchase so I hope it gives me years of happiness.

I bought a 2023 Kia Sportage hybrid Sx Prestige. Better interior and tech than what Honda offers and Honda is overpriced with fewer features. No panoramic sunroof, No ventilated seats, No spare tire, No 360-degree camera, the infotainment system is small and you still pay more. I average 44.5mpg more than the EPA which is 38/38 city/highway combine and it now has 11000 miles on the odometer No issues whatsoever.

I had a 2019 XC90 D5 R-Design before and I was quite annoyed by the wind&road noise when cruising at 80km/hr and above. Also, the car felt pretty floaty while driving. Not sure if this has been improved on the newer models.

**I neglected to mention a very important feature this vehicle has in the video. "The Hyundai Ioniq 5 features Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology, which allows the car to function as a mobile power source. This means you can use the car’s battery to power or charge various electronic devices, such as laptops, camping equipment, or even another electric vehicle in an emergency." Sorry about that!

- Remote start always shuts off when door is unlocked/opened with all Toyota’s that have a key fob, it’s a safety function to prevent car theft. - Lane departure assist is just that, it’s an assistant to keep you in your lane should you start to sway or get distracted. It is not an autonomous driving feature. - EV mode is not intended to be for daily driving or at faster speeds, it’s meant to help in situations such as traffic jams. If you want EV mode to run at higher speeds, buy an electric car. - I have owned 5 different Toyota hybrids and never had issues with the brake, not sure why you are. All in all, good video. I just thought the points that were misrepresented needed to be corrected (at least in the comments) as this vehicle really is the best thing since sliced bread! ❤
