One pedal driving mode does not give you more regen than pressing the brake pedal. It just brakes automaticallly for you. With the brake pedal you can get the same amount of regen and with more control.
@Rdinhoo4 жыл бұрын
Hi Rueben. How do you know this? Ive heard the brakepedal also uses the actual brakes. Or does it just engage them when you brake hard?
@TheReubenBonnici4 жыл бұрын
@@Rdinhoo I don't drive the Honda e yet but I have been driving a Toyota Hybrid from 2012 which has a similar regen with the brake pedal as it does not have 1 pedal drive. When you press the brake pedal gently it uses only the regen and if you press further it then uses the actual pads + regen. Only when at very low speeds to stationary it cannot regen anymore and switches to pads straight away. I have an OBDII dongle and with an app you can see the amount of regen and when the pads are active so I am very precise about this. Also by time you can start feeling the difference between regen and pads naturally.

Ok this is such a cute car. Wonder if they’d sell it in the US
@BOTBreviews4 жыл бұрын
Unlikely I think. Other than in dense cities, journeys are a lot longer in the US and it just doesn’t have the range.

Lose the sunroof and add a solar panel.

I could not agree more, this will compensate for energy burned by the motor.

There are 3 problems with Honda E, despite the japanese craftsmannship: a. short nose: collision issues in an accident b. ultra small trunk: not really suited for a shopping city car c. a perfectly executed Mazda MX30, with perfect layout / size for the same price

1513kg is 500kg overweight for a car this size.
@BOTBreviews4 жыл бұрын
There hasn’t been a 1000kg car this size since the Peugeot 309. I don’t disagree that all cars are overweight, but to only weight 60kg more than the equivalent Fiesta is a massive achievement

Yes but surprisingly still feels really light and nimble, which is what counts

Didums, dudums. And for the record, I am most definitely not your "mate". UNREAD I'll instantly delete any attempt on your part to further reply. You have much to say and nothing worth hearing, certainly not when it comes to trying to review vehicles.

I would love it if it was a 1.4 turbocharged petrol engine. Honda missed the boat here
@renedekat35194 жыл бұрын
Let’s skip petrol and put a coal fired steam engine in it, or put a horse in front of it instead. While we’re at it we can put some cave drawings on the inside.
@lindman3994 жыл бұрын
@@renedekat3519 Great idea, cave drawings bit like the fish tank with no electricity, very environmentally friendly lol
@renedekat35194 жыл бұрын
lindman399 At least where I live it’ll be electricity from renewable sources so I am ok.

Ah, yes, folks, the Honda hee-hee e... ...An obscenely overpriced, overteched cross between a batt-pack-shopping-trolley and a doubly concave mobile matchbox. Saleswise, in this country, I predict that it will prove to be a colossal white elephant. It features a boot the size of a postage stamp plus a range just about capable of carrying you twice round the block - ok, make that three times - added to which there's a charging-port lid on the bonnet resembling the top of your nan's commode. Finally - this next bit is tech overload gimmicry gone beserk and then some - we come to a multitude of in-your-face screens stretching would you believe the entire length of the dash, one, wait for it, forming a mock fish tank...I kid you not. Presumably its purpose is in answer to masses of ev drivers pressing the manufacturer demanding facia images of floating perch etc. But the car has its bad points too. [News recently reached me regarding an individual who, heard murmuring yuck phrases like 'Cutesy-cutesy-cool' and wetting their underwear in the process of viewing the thing, proceeded to put down a deposit to purchase this Japanese runabout. A few weeks after taking delivery they went into a motor accessories shop wanting a windscreen wiper for it. The assistant's response was, 'Sounds about right!']

Youve repeated (cut and pasted) this exact same piece in every single Honda e review Ive seen on KZbin! Yre clearly in love with what you’ve written and think we’re all lovin it too. No mate; its just sad! Get a life!!
