Finally a reviewer that gets this device is great for WOMEN... we have no pockets. I’m tired of lugging a brick on dinner dates. Let your friends take their phones and take the pics. Agree on the limits regarding messenger. I got one for $150... cheap. Even at $300 it’s equivalent to many other accessories such as hand bags purchased by 30+ working women.

Great honest overview of the Palm phone. I agree I feel like for $300 I don't know if it has enough to make me want to carry this phone solo...and I think for that reason alone makes me not want to grab it along with another $800-$1,000 device. Solid video.

A very late comment I know, but someone may be curious. The volume adjustment concern can be averted by setting the Double Click Gesture of the power button to bring up the volume control. The Double Click Gesture options are Camera, Volume Controls or Google Assistant (Which can also change your volume I believe).

Okay 300% irrelevant to the video topic.... but QUALITY of video, and honestly talent of the girl IN the video is amazing... this girl is much more fluid when speaking than I ever would have imagined her being, given her age.... she’s got a great screen presence, she is comfortable in front of the camera, she does not seem to have a prompter in her gear list - so she’s doing most of it off the cuff, and while her speech may be slightly fast for some, I grew up in NJ where everything is fast, and I had no issue understanding her. In addition, I checked out her “gear list” and she’s got a wonderful set up for a home studio. I am amazed by the quality of review she put out when I take into account her age and the gear she has! Good on her, and good on whoever runs this channel.... if it’s her? Amazing. Very well done.

Well ... I got a PALM and must say it's fine! Yes it's small and the battery is too, but it really is a great little moby! Does everything my full size android does, but with smaller visuals. Plus; I've now got a Mophie Power case for it (which still keeps the phone tiny) so battery life is no problem. Lasts a whole day of fairly active use ......... LOVE IT!!!
@MRIDNETGUY20045 жыл бұрын
Jeez that thing is tiny! I think you can fit at least 4 of those on the XSMAX screen, but I don’t know how many of those you can fit of that resolution into the XSMAX Resoultion or the note 9. Let’s leave that to Marques!

@Evan-wv4hz5 жыл бұрын
I think the palm makes no sense. Why wouldn't you just buy an iPhone SE? If you have to also have a bigger phone, switch the Sim cards. For $350 you can buy a full fledge phone that is the same size.
@juliehunt98285 жыл бұрын
Evan Romano the SE was discontinued. :( I just had to replace mine, the home button broke. I ended up getting the iPhone 8 and a Palm. I really like the Palm so far. In my opinion it is similar to having an I phone watch but more versatile.

I was at Best Buy the other day and saw it for $150. It may have been refurbished. I didn't think that it was worth it, since an LG Aristo can cost half as much, but I think that $50 would be a winning price,and a really good sell either to parents introducing their children to their first phones or to older people who only recently found the need to upgrade from a flip phone.

Why does anyone "NEED" a smart phone ? Maybe people have to consider and self actualise are they using a PHONE as an wireless TABLET or are they using it as an ACTUAL CELL PHONE ?
@jeff43625 жыл бұрын
Both actually, for wireless entertainment plus cell connection for phone/text/data. I really don't care about fancy features, just a device that is small in size with a decent camera, headphone jack, and has new software with access to Google Play ecosystem of apps etc. Palm Phone fits the bill, except that there's no headphone jack. Even Sony removed theirs from the XZ2 Compact (which, by the way, isn't as compact anymore at 5 inches). I am literally forced to buy an older second hand phone just for this. Hopefully Palm can develop a newer version that has a headphone jack and I'll be their first customer!

I know i'm really late to the party, but for $350 US. Is it really that crazy of a price? I paid $300 for my Gear S3 Frontier and the same for my previous series 2 Apple Watch, a new Series 4 starts at $399... Thats without the cellular connectivity. I think a Palm Phone and either their $30 Lanyard Case or Arm Sleeve would be a much more useable, but still tiny way to stay connected without having a, in comparison to the Palm, brick in, or sticking out of a pocket.

I feel this review misses the mark of what the company was trying to create, which was a phone to help people be less dependent of their phones and interact with humans and not a device 24/7. It's not meant to replace your phone as to be attached to this one but help you get off your phone. To may times you see people eating alone in large groups cause everyone is either texting or snapchatting each other when their person they texting is literally right next to them.

Great review! With its limited functionality and bigger body it should have been able to run much longer on a battery charge. This is smartwatch territory and that's not quite right. Also the camera obviously should have been good. It's the thing you take your phone out of your pocket for most of the time. The price is ridiculous. You have full fledged budget smarpthones that are also small enough to fit in most pockets like the Nokia 1 for 80 dollars. They can't ask 350 for a blown-up smartwatch with a camera. That said, a good, small dedicated camera that could also display your phone's notifications and would automatically save all images to your phone and/or cloud storage would actually not be a bad idea at all. We already have wifi compatible SD cards, getting there. I think iMessage is a non-issue. That's like saying it doesn't work with Blackberry Ping Messenger. There's much better alternatives that work on every phone, sticking to iMessage is just something you do because you want to stick to the brand, not because you actually make a logical choice.
