It would make a great beanie hat at 16:00 😀😛 Love how it turned out. I learnt a lot. The technique for the ridge at the bottom is very clever, Marie ! 👌🏻

I LOVE this pared down video format. Watching the WW broadcast is great for the initial watching, but I found that this version is great for watching and referring to while felting. The base on the vessel makes it look more “finished” while still organic. Thanks😊

I have done a couple of vessels (more like little pots). Until this video I did not even realize that an open resist would produce the same without having to cut away a large piece of the felt (even though I can reuse in other work and it is not wasted). Thank you for always bringing something new to the table. I will try the open resist felting.

Can this project be done with a short fiber bat to get a more stable vessel? And how many layers do you recommend?
@CorruptCakes4 жыл бұрын
For rolling, I thought it only mattered the number of rolls, not the order in which you do them. Is that not the case and why would it matter in which order you roll if the number of rolls ends up the same from all directions?
@mar80144 жыл бұрын
Another question I have, is how many layers total per side do you recommend to make? Thanks, Marianna

WIP. My bowl became a bag in blues. Didn't have the fire bowl colors. Used silk as embellishment fibers. Got to the soft felt stage and found that the silks hadn't stuck. Adding wisps of wool over them.
@helenreidt3315 Жыл бұрын
Nice tutorial 😊 I notice you using cold water. I only comment because I did a class and the teacher used boiling water right from the beginning..which caused the skin on my hands to peel a few days later. 😢
What would you put in a felt bowl? Ive made a few and some with trees on and ive made all these scarves that arent really big enough for proer scarves some with landscapes and a poppy painting one and just other interesting looking prices but i dont know what in heck to do with them now. Its like a box of chidls drawings. Its not art. Its not craft its not apparell its just felt bits and bobs. And theyre also too mice to throw away but totally without use to anyone.

@devonmccarroll65094 жыл бұрын
You might start by doing a small test piece of whatever project you want to do, and that will help with confidence!
@carolynsittler49294 жыл бұрын
Don’t be afraid. I have found that wool is very forgiving. I have been felting for less than two months. I started small and am now working on larger projects. If you ruin something just put it aside. You may find an use for it in a later project.
