Downsides of Carrollwood - Top Tampa Neighborhood

We moved to carrollwood 3 years ago. It’s awesome. The house was built in 83. It has 12 gauge electrical wiring and 20 amp circuits. You won’t find that in new construction. It’s a rock solid well built house. Not slapped together with newer cheap products. The only bad traffic is Dale Mabry at rush hour. But, that’s what makes carrollwood great! You can shoot down Anderson road to the airport and be there in 15 minutes. With zero tolls. So that is not negative either.

What neighborhoods would you recommend in Tampa for families? I looked at areas far out like Land O Lakes to places closer to the beach and city. You mentioned that you live close to a beach somewhere. I intend to go there soon again and look at some neighborhoods. I might also check out St. Petersburg

I live in Tarpon Springs and we really love it. I like the gulf coast towns the most.

@@LivinginTampa That is what I am checking out now. I went to Melbourne before on the other coast. I like the coast, but too small. Unless it becomes bigger.

Thanks for watching! A deed restricted community is a development where the properties come with certain conditions. Basically it's people agreeing to keep certain standards voluntarily when buying a house in that area.
