The #veganbagels in this Sunday's video are a top recipe. They come covered in seeds, crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside and ready to be filled with any other delicacy that you want. They are easier to do than it seems, if you want to learn how to do them we leave the instructions here written:
BAGELS (8 units)
INGREDIENTS:
#Bagels
320 ml of water
10 g of baker's yeast
1 spoon of sugar
500 g of wheat flour
1 teaspoon salt
Boil:
1 liter and a little water
1/2 tablespoon of baking soda
Coverage:
1 tablespoon pumpkin seeds
1 tablespoon poppy seeds
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
1/4 teaspoon of salt
· We start by making a mixture with yeast to smooth our dough. So heat the water in a saucepan.
· Let it temper until you can submerge a finger and it does not burn.
· Transfer the water to a container and add the yeast and sugar and stir. It has to be baker's yeast and not chemical for this recipe to work. As for the sugar, do not worry, they will not be sweet, we use it to make it better.
Reserve 10 minutes (you will see how it grows)
· On the other hand, sift the flour and salt into a large bowl.
· Make a hole in the middle and pour in the yeast and water mixture.
· We are going to mix with our hands little by little until you have a dough that does not stick to your hands.
· We pass it to a floured flat surface and continue kneading until it has no lumps.
· We make a ball with the dough and spread it with oil.
· We put it in the same container and cover with a cloth. We are going to let it rest for at least 1 hour so that it grows.
· Uncover and return to floured flat surface.
· Part this dough into 8 more or less equal pieces.
· Fold in the edges and join them. Flip it over and form a ball.
· Let this dough rest for about 30 minutes covered so that they rise.
Now we are going to shape them into a bagel with our fingers, leaving it like a donut or donut
· Prepare the tray greased with oil.
· And on the other hand we prepare the mixture of seeds.
· We heat the water in a cauldron and when it boils, add the baking soda.
· We remove and extinguish the fire.
· We submerge the bagels, 4 by 4, according to the size of your cauldron and boil them for 1 minute, that is, about 30 seconds on each side.
· We drain them and place them on the oven tray.
· On top we spread the mixture of seeds and put in the oven at 180ºC (previously preheated) for at least 20 minutes or until golden brown.
· Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.
· Cut in half and serve with a little vegan cheese
