C: Cruise/Resort, in stores from November until May of next year. This is the collection that's available for the longest. The show for this collection is shown during the first half of the previous May P: Spring-Summer Act 1, this is a Pre-collection in CHANEL parlance, for other brands this would be the stylistic equivalent of Cruise/Resort*. Available from mid January to March. This is a look book only collection, the look book is released along with the collection, when Karl was still alive we sometimes got a little short film with very little extra promo, it's launched around the same time of the Spring Haute Couture show S: Spring-Summer Act 2, in stores from March until July. This is the runway collection presented in early October of the previous year A: Métiers d'Art, from mid May until September. This runway collection is shown in early December of the previous year. This is the equivalent of Pre-fall for other brands but it's usually in stores a few weeks earlier B: Fall-Winter Act 1, like P this is the Pre-colection and closer in practice to what other brands call Pre-fall. Available from early July until September, just like P K: Fall-Winter Act 2, in stores from September until November. This is the runway collection presented in March. Besides this 6 collections and depending on the years we also had a Sport collection in the early 2000's and the Coco Beach and Coco Niege a few years ago. These last 2 are unrelated to the other 6 but arrived in stores between P & S and B & K respectively. The availability period of any of the pieces from these collections is obviously subject to demand and they may remain in stock for longer than the previously stated When researching collections there are a few quirks that need to be taken into account: Métiers

One more comment: I’m glad all you girls buy such gorgeous bags to enjoy while you are still young enough to wear them for many years to come. When you’re older (70+), there are fewer and fewer events to go to. Don’t get me wrong! No regrets here!!! I’m blessed with grandchildren, health, & time to finally throw up my feet and enjoy a slower pace of life this side of heaven . ❤🌹

But you can still sport/own a luxury bag and still enjoy. I felt like you and I’m 57 and keep thinking I’m too old to start a luxury collection because I won’t enjoy so much as if I had been in my 30’s, 40’s…but nah…waiting on the right Louis Vuitton or Chanel and will splurge, granted it will be on a bag that I can wear casually so I can really use it. Don’t let age ever hold you back from treating yourself. We all deserve it, no matter our age!

Stunning and yes the black works better for a dinner handbag. I would also choose the black anytime. Haha looks like i need to put out in the universe my wish list too. It is really meant to be yours for most of the unboxing and i do agree with you. Yes a classic is so expensive even just a leather and this one, the work to sew in the sequence is so much more and i can see it calls for the price. It’s a gorgeous bag, and you were so lucky to have good customer service. Unfortunately, I had terrible experience at the BG Chanel. They sent me the wrong bag, would not email the shipping back instructions so I had to go there in person (1.5 hour train ride.) They called me back several days after I shipped it back to say that the box arrived at BG empty. I provided them with the FedEx receipt with weight information and photos of the box on the scale at FedEx. BG management refused to accept any responsibility and I ended up losing a lot of money. I haven’t purchased anything from the BG Chanel since, and if I have to return expensive items I now do it in person only.

The Chanel is a stunner❣️I never even knew that bag existed. I’m a new sub, and ever since I saw your Fendi Baguette blue lame sheepskin I’ve been trying to hunt it down. Well I just found a leathersmith in San Francisco who is going to source, dye and recreate that baguette for me! I’m either going to go w crinkled emerald green lame or the same blue, and add personalization to the buckle. Just wanted to share that story! (I’m curious if Fendi offers MTO on sold out bags?)
