I absolutely loved this video. I was actually laughing at loud when you said I don't want it 🤣 . I will say you left out those unnecessary stickers. After watching your video on how you feel about stickers I was amazed at how many people cherish keeping those stickers on their bags. I can't rip them off fast enough.

I agree about the rain and scratches, on any bags. I've had people try to talk me out of high quality leather because of rain, but life happens. Also, trips over bags any day, and NYC is a fav of mine.

100% agree on the jewellery . Designer label jewellery is marked up in price because of the name and it is all the same. I much prefer a special piece made by a jeweller.

Hi Meredith completely agree with you. My jewellery (rings) have been redesigned fr my own, my mother’s & grandmother’s rings I had a jeweller redesign 7 rings from 18ct white & yellow gold w diamonds to 3, having such a personalised set with sentimentality attached is so much more important than following any trends. I buy handbags that I like & have no intention of moving on. I am giving an LV Capucines to my older Sister for her Birthday next month. We are all different (how boring if everyone had exactly the same bags, jewellery etc.) Have a fab evening Mrs Lux. 💐😘💙

I completely agree that you should have wear on your bags! I have several luxury bags and always seem to grab my contemporary bags. I sometimes regret buying them because I don’t wear them as much as my contemporary bags! TYFS 👜😩😉

I agree on all counts save one small thing. I wouldn't really say no to a Constance mostly. Mostly. I totally agree on the wear though. I buy bags to use them. My 30 year old LVs are brown from use. To me they are the most beautiful things, ever. Same for jewelry. I want what I love and generally it's not the same as what most people like.

Love this! Very well put! Related to using your bags, I had a large bottle of iced tea spill in my vintage LV petite Noe. I literally had to turn the bag over to spill it out into the sink, but not before it sank to stain half the bottom vachetta (which was not pristine as I use it and put it down anywhere!) I put the entire bag in the sink, filled it with water and soap and washed it out, and hung it to dry. After conditioning the leather, it looks FINE, maybe a little darker but it survived and now has a story of its own to tell.

Meredith I love the content you share and am a new subscriber but am always sidetracked by the terrible shelves you have those beautiful bags on! My husband has them in his garage. I’d love to see them on shelves that really show them off 😊

Thank you for subscribing. There will be new temporary shelving put in later in the year, but only for the purposes of KZbin. All my bags live on pallet racking as it’s big enough to hold my collection, and functional. I also don’t believe the shelving is important. All bags start their lives on these shelves in stock rooms and what they sit on really makes no difference. Function and space is far more important to me rather than his something looks. Finally, we have plans to renovate our house so spending thousands on something that will just be torn down seems incredibly wasteful.

Luxury used to be if you have extra money, you buy something luxury, you use it you enjoy it. I think with the constant brain wash by social media, luxury is all about the chase, the trophy, the I have you don’t status, and this is not just limited to fashion, it’s also happening in the chase for the hottest restaurants, the list goes on. Because there will always be another new chase, people with limited funds need to make sure they buy things that they can recuperate most of the money, hence the focus on resale value. The only thing lost in all this is the enjoyment you should get from the luxury items you spend big bucks on.

I know they will only be in select stores on 2/9/23 here in the US but, you MUST get them! You love pink! They do not make a medium heel here, only an 85mm as I learned. Long and sad story …

I love the Himalayan aesthetic but that's because I love the neutrals so it is right up my street! I totally agree with jewelry, I like some Designer costume jewelry as it's fun and not too much ££ - however fine jewelry - NO! 100% agree with this 🙌 I won’t buy something just because it’s desired by everyone else. Especially as a collector! Why would you buy something that doesn’t fit in your collection. Makes no sense 🤷‍♀️ I was invited to an event to design my own peekaboo and I turned it down. As exciting as that sounded to me I have so much planned this year including family holiday and I’d rather the money go to that this year. Tomas Maier, the creative director at Bottega from 2001 to 2018 stated in an article that he could not understand why women carried their handbags in such a precious way. He said they were meant to used and enjoyed and I have always remembered that. The Himalayan Birkin is just not a gorgeous skin in my opinion. I find it very dull.

I agree with you the designer jewelry not worth but I love picking up pieces 1/2 price on fashionphile. All the folks that needed to buy this Hermes jewelry in order to have a pre spend. I’m Picking it up. Gorgeous and 1/2 price. Win for me. I’m not a big jewelry person but it’s nice for me. Love the Constance. Don’t agree on the travel but I understand your point you have young kids you’ll want to show them places like we did for our kids. That part is done. I love a great bag and my family. I subscribed because of this video!!!! I agree with all of your opinions and I am actually the same way. I use my bags, I value travel over things...but I spend on both...I don't buy things I don't love regardless of the hype, although I have fine jewelry from luxury houses, I don't think it's worth it. I laughed throughout the whole video because I guess my opinions are unpopular too! I just started Closet Conversations, a series on my fledgling KZbin channel and I'd be thrilled if you gave it a watch when you have a chance.

Very unpopular opinion but I don’t like LV monogram and wish they would lean more into their damier ebene print. Also, probably more popular but Chanel isn’t worth the money or hassle.
