I finally feel confident to explore Punta de Mita more after 7 years living in PV! Thank you for showing us the area and affordable places to go. Punta de Mita is a luxurious resort town on the Pacific coast of Nayarit, Mexico. It is home to ritzy 5-star hotels, golf courses, pristine surfing beaches, and a sleepy Mexican pueblo. There are a handful of things to do in Punta Mita that combine both luxury and local experiences.

This was a really good video. It was relaxed and took its time in showing the different areas of the town really giving one a sense of the place from high end to modest. And your breakdown of costs at the end was also really helpful. But the cost of some of the real estate advertised was eye opening indicating that it's an area that is being developed for a higher end clientele which means inevitably it will lose some of its charm in the years to come and price out the local population.
@LivingOverseasTV2 жыл бұрын
think planet earth, You are correct and I think it is a growing problem in the area. Much of the beach access in the area has been bought up by large, high-end projects, and public access is very limited. The town of Punta de Mita is one of the few exceptions in this area and I hope that it develops with support for the local businesses that exist there.

The guys car with the cut fruit is made of two cars welded together. He is very nice! The oxxo is where you can get the bus out of town. Highly advised as the sewage coming out of the manhole by the new construction while we were there in January was spewing out and going down to stinkys. Your really rolling the dice swimming or surfing in the water near town! We also found out that the nice beach with good surf on the other side of the breakwaters has an outfall from the 4 seasons resort just by the edge of the golf course. Of course there is not much else to do in this town except eating and with raw sewage pumping up right in the main road downtown we left our accommodations two days before even needed to. The people in town were very nice but with our neighbours barfing all night after surfing at stinkys all day we just packed it in.

@LivingOverseasTV Жыл бұрын
Parker Bolt, Prices here are very expensive compared to other places in Mexico but very cheap compared to other places with a quality surfing beach like this. Try comparing the prices to Malibu. If you don't need to be within walking distance to great surfing you can cut your costs in half around Bucerias and other less popular beach areas.

Great informative video, I truly enjoyed it. Keep up the great work. One question, how and from where did you make the reservation for lodging? Were you aware of this container hotel or did you go to the most reasonable priced hotel with private "rooms", which I like, because of the private bathroom. Could never do hostels...or share a bathroom. What are the most reasonable priced months, besides winter. I don't care for cold weather or cold water beaches. Take care and stay safe.
