What are you waitin for, I thought, that’s plenty of money, I from mecsicou, she could save a lot of money if she cooks, like sea food is nice and fresh, and some restaurants once or twice a week, maybe like 200 dollars on food, and you can spend whatever you want in tours around islands etc, night clubs, whatever you want with the rest, so think about it, I realized that 1500 Is what you pay only for the rent.

Welcome to Mexico 🥰 My only recommendation if you’re planning on moving to Mexico is PLEASE don’t forget to break the ice and mix with the locals and also learn some Spanish! Most of the foreigners stay in their foreigner’s bubble and miss out from a wonderful experience. Also as a sign of respect to the locals 😁

@@MrStayAlive “Yo” they do learn English or at least they really try their best to communicate in English when they’re interacting with English speaking people. If they choose to speak Spanish to their family members and you don’t like it, that’s another story. @@ricochet2769 Spanish isnt even the official language of mexico it was braught there by the same people that killed everyone native to that place and enforced their religion on the people, same as in the states. The double standard is real. i asked a simple question. if i ask people to learn english as a sign of respect. thats how you put it. if i ask people to show me respect by learning my language is that racism or bigotry. or is it only classified as such bc im white? I find it offensive that you ask me to learn a language out of respect. I lived in Mexico in the 90s. I will always say there’s nothing way better than Mexico’s houses. Real houses made out of cement and break or river rock. Houses in United States cost a fortune basically your whole life just for a paper plates. That the end of the day you still don’t own the land

Nice little apartment has everything you need with a great price.I could see myself living in a place like hers .She is doing the smart thing get the hell away from the city center ,expats and touristy areas and you will see rental prices falling dramatically .If you are a beach person and want to live by the beach and you have the money then go for it.I like the beach but I'm not crazy over it so living away from the beach works for me .I live and grew up near the beach and I have to admit I only go to the beach like once every 4 years or so .when I was a teen I would go like 6 times a year .When I say i grew up near the beach ,I'm talking like about 5 miles from the beach.

Well I know this vid is over 3 years old but as a vet Mexican traveler, I've driven to PV 3 times from San Diego, to MAZ, Guadalajara, Mexico City and of course visited the pyramids, loved it and was in country for a month. I've taken the ferry from Mazatlan to Cabo and from PV to La Paz, IIRC, long ass rides ja ja! Used to drive the Baja Peninsula for every New Years with a buddy, we both had jet skis and talking about a golden opportunity, no one in those places back then knew a thing about them, we should've begged and borrowed to start rental businesses in those places, obviously hindsight is better than 20/20. Mexico is tightening their visas for what I understand. There has been such a influx of foreigners for all the reasons she explains in this video. The backlash is landlords keep pushing the rent up because foreigners keep excepting the higher rates. This is now turning Into a crisis for the locals that can no longer afford the new rents. It’s also affecting small businesses that have been renting for decades. They no longer can afford the rent and have to shut down their businesses. This video was made one year ago. The immigration laws may have changed and have more restrictions now.
@ardvarq90272 жыл бұрын
Ya Americans will find out soon what the locals really think of them.
@LorenCognita2 жыл бұрын
They should consider asking Americans to ban with them and refuse higher rent. We don’t know these things are happening to them if they don’t tell us. We know what it’s like to have people moving from expensive cities like NYC and LA to our smaller towns and increase rent. That’s actually why most of us are moving. Many of us wouldn’t mind helping locals boycott. We’d save money too, it’s a win-win for everyone. Also if the government is “cracking down” on this it makes more sense for them to restrict rent increases to landlords instead of keeping rich foreigners out.
@billj98382 жыл бұрын
@@LorenCognita your dreaming. The only thing you will accomplish by boycotting is putting a target on your back. Mexico is not the USA. Mexico states do not have rent control. Only the Mexican federal district does.

I was disappointed that her apartment tour didn't show her bathroom (especially since such amenities are pretty important to most people who have the money to vacation and/or live overseas) and was kind of confused when she mentioned very casually that her adorable apartment floods during the rain-y season!! Is that something you think others would put up with on a regular basis even for a low rent?! I would like to also have known if her apartment is flooding, how high that river gets?! Also I would love to know during the rain-y season if getting home from anywhere in the pouring rain whether you do so by private car or bus and then having to walk across that fairly long bridge would be something to look forward to?
@LivingOverseasTV3 жыл бұрын
PapillonOne, She didn't show me her bathroom, but you can get a good idea what the bathrooms are like in some of my other videos. I think what she meant by flooding is water coming in from heavy rain and requiring some mopping. Dez prefers to live on her jungle mountain side and doesn't mind dealing with the weather, walking and many steps. There are apartments in the area in the same price range that a taxi can drop you at the front door. Personally, I choose to pay $500 per month and live in a nicer place in town but everything comes with different advantages and disadvantages.
