I lived in queretaro and Mexico City. Mexico in a lot of ways is more advanced than the US. Life there is a lot more peaceful and people are very nice and welcoming . I love it here

Looking forward to retiring in Queretaro! My husband and I were born in the states to Mexican parents and grew up in a border city spending most of our time in Mexico. We have been traveling all around Mexico but hands down Queretaro has the best weather! We live in Dallas TX and the weather here is extreme. Can't wait, your video just confirms our goals for the future! Gracias! 🙏😍

Good video, thank you. Queretaro is at the top of our list of where we might like to live. I'm married to a Colombian woman and we currently live in the Rionegro, Antioquia area of Colombia. Great quality of life here but, we're looking for a change.

Absolutely! Guanajuato is my favorite, but the hills discouraged me, considereing my aging years. SMA does not appeal to me for a lot of reasons. Querétaro is magical in a much larger way, plus ...attached to a modern city.

@ Although I got wrong info from on-line sites, I did manage to get a first bus from Cuernavaca to Mexico City (South). I thought I would have to shell out another $20+ (U.S. funds) to use a taxi to cross town to the North bus terminal. That is what the on-line search insisted. But, thankfully, there WAS a bus--a very good bus line--heading to San Miguel. I began my travels around 9:30 am and got to San Miguel just after 6 pm. I know it's pricy here, but so many gravitate to its charms. The bus stopped in Querretero and it looked like a fresh and new cement modernized city on a hill. Not sure that is my kind of magic... but I am working to stay open-minded.

ONE THING I must clarify. "COMMUNITY" means we have a variety of social events among those of us who care to join. COMMUNITY does not mean AN AREA where we live. It's a big city and Expats live in all the hundreds of Colonias. Otherwise, commendable video footage! You gave us a very good view of Centro Historico.

Hi, when owning a home in centro, how does parking a personal vehicle work?
@missflix91920 күн бұрын
If your home doesn't have parking there are a lot of parking spaces in centro you can rent off the street and guarded.
@PalaminoHills19 күн бұрын
Park it at your house (inside or on the street). Lots of parking lots in centro.
@monicawright334413 күн бұрын
Most houses in Centro do not have a garage or parking space, so the majority of residents there either do not have a car or park their cars in the private parking lots located there.

Hi, excuse me, but it seems that you did not understand well what the real estate agent told you about the first house. She said that for any renovation you will first have to request a permit from the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH), once they approve it you will have to follow each of the instructions that the institute tells you, that includes the use of certain types of materials and also what you can do or how to use each room, including the roof. You may wonder why, this is because here in Mexico, any building classified as historic is protected by this institute and cannot be modified even if you buy it. If you do, they would stop the remodeling, you would have to return it to its original state and of course pay a fine. I don't want to burst your bubble, but it's okay to buy that house only if you want to live in it, preserving the original style or doing some research to find out who owned it and try to make it a cultural place or museum so you can get some economic benefit because trying to make a hotel or Airbnb would have a lot of problems, for example putting full bathrooms per room, etc.

Thanks for adding this. As you might know, 2 years ago Mesón de Santa Rosa in Plaza de Armas did a very nice repaint to BLUE, but were forced to change to a more acceptable color. Now it is BEIGE, again.

If you live like the locals, 1200 USA dollars is a lot and you will be fine, some Mexicans families make it with less than that.

Hola from Queretaro. Please house the homeless and hungry in studio apartments, empty office buildings and malls. have cooked food for all. They must keep areas clean, and must work cleaning streets etc. Stop crying about your fire problems and help others in a quiet way. Everyone must WORK. Politicians should only serve one eight-year term from the Supreme Court on down 68 should be the cutoff for running for any office.
