Great port stop, love to visit the castle someday, but Cherbourg looked awesome as well (and now I know how close these locations are). Would love to wander through all the Jacques Cousteau era items in the museum. Looking forward to your tour through the countryside.

Another wonderful video.i had no idea there were soo many Titanic museum’s. I visited Belfast , Ireland one and wasn’t aware of more. Thank you!

It was kind of a surprise to us as well. I don’t exactly know how many Titanic museums there are.

Loved the video as it brings back memorys for me. I used to live in Cherbourg when my husband was in the french navy. In july this year I also went back and visited the museum, both the submarine and the Titanic was so interesting. I still live in France but in Brittany and it is so true we have the best crepes... would have loved bumping in to you during your stay.
@livingphase23 күн бұрын
And don't forget the Brittany cider as well. 😁

Hí enjoyed the video nice tó see Cherbourg again. My húsband & myself took a trip over a few years agó tó see the Normandy beaches and the war memorials & American cemetary all very moving. We also did some duty free wine shopping and had some great food. The submarine was not open as a Museum then but still great tó see. We went over by ferry from Rosslare the weather was great but ón the way back there was a storm which was a bit scary and the trip took twice as long coming back as we had tó shelter over night we were só glad tó get off the ship onto dry land. Enjoy your trip.

I'm sure you heard about the incident on Explorer of the Seas yesterday where they tilted while a Titanic song was playing? They thought it was part of the show! Apparently someone that was on the ultimate world cruise was on it and posted it! 😮

As a submariner, I always enjoy sites such as these. I would recommend New London, Ct. for the much smaller Nautilis. I have been to Normandy and St. Malo which I would also recommend. Great fun at the museums.

Hello Mike & Nancy wonderful video I have been to the war memorials my father was in France during WW2 Australia had huge numbers that fought in both wars when you consider our population only about 7 million. Nancy how are your knees? Love from Sydney.

What ports did you miss while you were overland?

We missed Southampton UK, Bruges, Belgium, and Skagen, Denmark. These three were places we had visited when we had lived here many years ago.

@@livingphase2 Neither did I since I was a little young for it. Its song ‘I will wait for you’ was very popular and nominated for Best Song in the Academy Awards. I probably haven’t heard it for 50+ years, but the tune and words easily came back to me.
