you mentioned in another video that new steinways can take years to break in. What about an old piano like this that has been recently restored? IT already sounds amazing even over the internet. Also, what about where it spent most of its life? If it's always lived in a dry climate, would it be a bad idea to relocate it to a hot humid climate like florida?

Hi Robert, great playing as always. I hope you are well and settling into the new showroom, we are just about to put a New York Steinway Model D 1986 on eBay you might be interested in it... It will be going live in the next couple of days and it will be selling with no reserve. Hope to see you all soon out in Arizona, Stephen at Sherwood Phoenix Pianos, Nottingham, UK.

I thought that Renner made all the actions for Steinway. I’ve never heard of a “Steinway” action!

Steinway makes their own actions in the US. Always have as far as I know.

Renner si the best producer of action parts in the world. Hamburg steinway have Renner parts, whose big and thick hammers contribute the clear sound of humbur steinways

That piano has incredibly good tone, love it. Can you make a video about other brand from London called Alisson and son’s? I know they make kind of rare pianos

I recall hearing someone -- maybe the current CEO of Steinway USA on Tiffany Poon's channel -- saying that there were steps afoot to have the Hamburg factory pianos sound more like the American ones through shared componentry. Not sure if that's such a good idea.

Never EVER thought in my entire life I'm about to say what I'm about to say.. BUT, this Hamburg Steinway actually sounds fantastic!! They USUALLY have that horrible "tinny" nasty bright un-warm sound that all European pianos have.. not this one, though - it's fantastic!

I don't care for it . It doesn't sound as good as a New York . It reminds me of a Bosendorfer .

it just doesn’t sound rich enough!

I think it's enough. New york's are a little bit too dirty and ''overdrived''. Hamburg's are more fit to conventional classical music and new york's are more to Jazz
