Note: As mentioned multiple times in the video, the costs presented are averages or median figures based on the latest available data on the cost of living in Australia (sources in description). As such, these figures will naturally vary depending on location, household size, lifestyle choices, and individual consumption patterns (which explains why some of you are spending way more, less, or similar). Just to clarify, weekly earnings in the real world (not the one presented in this video) are actually incorrect by far. $800 - $1000 a week for males and $700 - $850 a week for females, at its best without any overtime. Stop making videos using government statistics, rather ask people that live there instead. One would think that this way you would get your information first hand. Also, it wouldn't hurt to acquire the stat where it shows that apart from the small percentage of rich people, Australians work the most hours per week in the western world trying to make ends meet and practically don't have much of a social life. What a beautiful country.

Cost of living if you own a property is scary with increasing council rate, water rate and insurance way above the " inflation" rate. To add to that will be transport cost including public transport, toll charges, petrol prices, parking fee, insurance, car registration and of course car maintenance and repairs which again is over the ' inflation rate ". Food Cost and Eating Out is expensive as 2 major supermarkets control the cost. Surprisingly, in the UK, even after conversion, it is actually cheaper in their supermarket plus more varieties of food.

Ambulances and everything mentioned in this video, including public dentists, are free in the Turkish Health System and are quite good quality. I can't get my head around paying a GP, and we turn up at the clinic without an appointment and see them in 5-10 minutes max. We make different specialist appointments online, and they are free, too, or just a very small contribution. You can choose to go to private 5-star hospitals, and even they will not cost more than Australia's public system. Doctor salaries are like 5-10 times more than the minimum wage, too. Yet people complain all the time, thinking even health is better in Western countries. I lived in Australia and the UK for a long time.

In Australia we don't pay council rates and sewage and water supply charges unlike many European tenants do. Landlords actually are not as renumerated as say a British landlord.
@geertstroy11 күн бұрын
In Australia the sewage goes through tacxes fyi. My water bill in NL , EXPENSIVE country , is Eur15 per month . Sewage goes included in another levy that comprises several other services at Eur 1400 per YEAR.
@glennoc858511 күн бұрын
@geertstroy My Sewage is billed to me with my water supply and usage direct to my home. I pay around $200 aus every quarter so $800 per year

Although Australia may be expensive to relocate to and live in, I'll just take a leap of faith and relocate there, build my life, my wealth and future there.... Atleast I'll come alone, i won't spend a lot

Why are you paying water? If you are renting you shouldn’t be paying for water, only electricity and gas.

Depends on the state and agreement. In SA it’s in every lease contract that you have to pay the water bill

@@roaringking1468 When the government forced people to take something that shall not be named. I organised quickly 2 years to get citizenship and move to another country. I mean European background which gave me an abundance of fairly good choices. We landed in Finland. More freedoms here Very little crime. Better Education Better Public infrastructure from transport all the way to health care. Better more professional government, who conduct themselves in more respectable behaviour. Cleaner Air Cleaner Water Affordable housing ( we purchased outright here with no debt thanks to the insane situation with housing in Australia) Kids are thriving. Extremely happy with new found freedoms.

Another beat up. Inflation and housing shortages are a WORLDWIDE experience. There is nothing in Australia particularly different to other parts of the world. But so many videos have one purpose: to blame the current government of the day. The video ae right wing inspired. Everything is dire and disastrous, except it isn't. Everything is going downhill and getting worse, except it isn't. It IS bad for some (the poor, the borrower, the unemployed) but notivce this is not who they refer to. These people are not the once they sympathise with, and provide policy solutions. No, their aim to rouse you discontent, and blame the one party who is effectively acting on it, govt. Notice 1. the Labor govt inherited 6% inflation, and has brought it down to 3% SUCCESS. Despite the interest rate rises, unemployment is steady, around 4%, and a million more jobs have been created.. SUCCESS. Housing shortages continue, and when the Govt intrduc spending programs to boost housing the Coalition and Greens voted against them. Ask yourself Why???
@hijazzains12 күн бұрын
Many govts even HK are able to increase housing stock fast with flexible zoning and density regulation ..the West meanwhile have stupid zoning laws an unrealistic low density planning...Sydney density is a quarter of London's.
