I've been in a depression, last 2 days.. I was scrolling, hiding in bed, waiting for bedtime for my kids, when I'm allowed to cry after they fall asleep. anxiety consuming my mind making me feel pathetic. then I came across this song in a random short, and it just broke down my mindset, to get out of this dark place. the chorus is a slap in the face, the kind of slap that revives you. Shadow One foot in the ground, one foot in the grave Don't you dare make a sound (Shh) Hear you from a mile away Run from the town, all you need is your name And the sweat on your brow And the blood running through your veins [Pre-Chorus] Don't think twice, you'll be dead in a second Turn your eyes from your hands to the heavens Kill your pride, turn your fear to a weapon And don't you forget it [Chorus] Oh, don't you let 'em take control Don't you let 'em break your soul It's not the devil at your door It's just your shadow on the floor [Verse 2] One eye on the clock, one еye on the mirror Take a stеp through your thoughts Is it getting clearer? If they follow you whenever night falls Will you still listen to my call? Who do you trust or no one at all? [Pre-Chorus] Don't think twice, you'll be dead in a second Turn your eyes from your hands to the heavens Kill your pride, turn your fear to a weapon And don't you forget it [Chorus] Oh, don't you let 'em take control Don't you let 'em break your soul It's not the devil at your door It's just your shadow on the floor (It's just your shadow on the floor) [Bridge] Tell me that you hate me, yeah, I heard it all before There's a life here for the taking Is it mine or is it yours? All I am is what you make me You're on both sides of the wall It's not the devil that you're facing It's your shadow on the floor [Outro] (It's just your shadow on the floor)

This song means so much to me! I was raised in a religious cult, I have never found a song that could resonate with the feeling of finding my freedom, thank you. The cult was like the grave, i was dead inside, one foot on the ground is the decision to escape. I literally left with nothing but my name, the sweat on my brow and the blood running through my veins, I left behind everyone I had ever known, left with nothing, i had paranoia they could hear me and read my mind, they used fear as a weapon to control me, they knew it all. And you're so right, it was never the devil knocking at my door, just my shadow on the floor ❤ Its been 10 yrs now, I am building a new life from scratch. This song is everything ❤

I was also raised in a cult. It was really hard to adapt to everything outside of it. I'm still struggling with things. But I'm getting better. I left when I was 18, I'm in my 30s now. I don't think it's ever going to really go away. But I have people that actually care about me and are working with me to make it better. I found this song and I haven't really liked modern music for a long time. But this song hit me good.

See christian orthodoxy thats the Jesus religion. See the holy light who comes from the sky at Jerusalem in the Easter night is the evidence of God. Its true i exp si many things here i can say with all my heart this is the ine that nakes us go more close to Jesus. If you dont think si pray to him The cult you had was a wrong religion.. Jesus is only in christianity. The rest is warer under the bridge See orthdodox teachings of the elders on youtube, and o chilie atnonita on google but translate it in english if its another language My father died i had depression was so bad 8 pills per day at 22..only going to this church helped me. Only co fessing maked me feel less pain. Taking the holy Eucharisty. Is not a story its true. Budism cant help, Muslims cant, no one only Jesus He is not somewhere far away He is closer then we think. When my father died because my siter was there when hime gived his last breath he told him to come at her in dreams. And from that, he was a christian orthodox priest, he comes to her from time to time Once he told her before he was closed to be washed by a car that he needs to be carefull at cars and he was upset once her roomate girl saw when she had sleep paralyse that he saw him she described his face that he weR glasses all the things..that he was in a priest clothes and he maked the cross sign above her. That girl didnt even see a picture of him and described it.. Once a korean dude with he worked it as a job said to her that a man (he described my father) told him to by her a coat. Was winter and he didnt have much money.. the man described my father not even knowing his dead or how he looks. He then buyed her a coat. My father showed him a red coat from a magazine in that day. And now he have that. And many more. Also a priest told us that this dreams are with God grace not from the demons. But we should be carfeul. As an evidence he was a good man mercifull.. When he died at a hour after his left hand moved in the signt of the cross like how the priest make that sign in church. I also i come closer to church and try to let sins far away and i had sleep paralyse and hear demons laugh and also my blanket move. When i say the Jesus name they flee away like i shot them.. Its verry true God bless you all❤

Lyrics: One foot in the ground One foot in the grave Don't you dare make a sound, shh Hear you from a mile away Run from the town All you need is your name And the sweat on your brow And the blood running through your veins Don't think twice You'll be dead in a second Turn your eyes From your hands to the heavens Kill your pride Turn your fear to a weapon And don't you forget it Oh Don't you let them take control Don't you let them break your soul It's not the devil at your door It's just your shadow on the floor One eye on the clock One eye on the mirror Take a step through your thoughts Is it getting clearer If they follow you whenever night falls Will you still listen to my call Who do you trust or no one at all Or knowing it all Don't think twice You'll be dead in a second Turn your eyes From your hands to the heavens Kill your pride Turn your fear to a weapon And don't you forget it Oh Don't you let them take control Don't you let them break your soul It's not the devil at your door It's just your shadow on the floor (It's just your shadow on the floor) Tell me that you hate me, yeah I heard it all before There's a life here for the taking Is it mine or is it yours All I am is what you make me You're on both sides of the wall It's not the devil that you're facing It's your shadow on the floor No problem🫵 (Edit:) Thanks for all the likes really appreciate it❤

It's truly amazing and somehow the music gives me some sort of sense of nostalgia due to what I call the bubbly sound (idk what it is) Anyhow, this is awesome and I love it.
