Phuket, THAILAND (Travel Guide: Best Beaches, Patong, Big Buddha)

In this video of Living the Jo life, we explore Phuket Island, which is located a 1-hour flight from Bangkok in Thailand. We rented a car from Phuket Airport before making our way to Paresa Resort Phuket, where we stayed for a week. We went to most of the popular beaches on Phuket Island, including Patong, Karon, Kata, Kata Noi, Nai Harn, Yanui, Ra Wai, Kamala, Surin, Bang Tao, Banana, and Mai Khao. We went to a couple of amazing lookouts above Kata Noi and to the Karon View Point. We also visited Phuket’s largest Buddhist temple, Wat Chalong, and the 45 m high Phuket Big Buddha located atop Nakkerd Hill. From Ra Wai Beach we went on a spontaneous long tail boat trip around Ko Bon Island. We also did an unforgettable Thai cooking class and market tour. At the market, we got to explore different kinds of fruit, herbs, softshell crab, and chilies. At the cooking class, we prepared, cooked and ate some delicious classic Thai meals, including tom yum soup, pad thai, green curry, massaman curry, and mango and sticky rice.
