That pastor isn't preaching regeneration i.e an integral part of the Good News! "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a NEW creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become NEW" (2 Corinthians 5:17). "But God be thanked, that ye WERE the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. For when ye WERE the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness" (Romans 6:17-18, 20) "when we WERE in the flesh" (Romans 7:5), "and such WERE some of you..." (1 Corinthians 6:11), "And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts" (Galatians 5:24), "And you hath he quickened, who WERE dead in trespasses and sins; wherein in time past ye walkED according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: among whom also we all HAD our conversation in TIMES PAST in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and WERE by nature the children of wrath, even as others. Even when we WERE dead in sins" (Ephesians 2:1-3, 5a), "ye who sometimes WERE far off" (Ephesians 2:13), "Be not ye therefore partakers with them, for ye WERE sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light" (Ephesians 5:7-8), "Who hath DELIVERED us from the power of darkness" (Colossians 1:13), "And you, that WERE sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled" (Colossians 1:21), "For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: in which ye also WALKED some time, when ye lived in them" (Colossians 3:6-7) "Who was BEFORE a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious" (1 Timothy 1:13a), "For we ourselves also sometimes WERE foolish, disobedient, deceived..." (Titus 3:3), "In which ye also walkED (Colossians 3:7), "who was BEFORE a blasphemer and a persecutor...(1 Timothy 1:13), "FORMER lusts" (1 Peter 1:14), "seeing ye HAVE PURIFIED your souls" (1 Peter 1:22), "For ye WERE as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls" (1 Peter 2:25), "But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you OUT OF darkness INTO his marvellous light: Which in time PAST were not a people, but ARE NOW the people of God: which had NOW obtained mercy" (1 Peter 2:9-10), "in time PAST...we walkED in lasciviousness, lusts..." (1 Peter 4:3b), "having ESCAPED the corruption that is in the world through lust" (2 Peter 1:4b, 2:20a), "he was PURGED from his old sins" (2 Peter 1:9b)

I went thru many years as a young adult backsliding in my faith. I made the mistake once, when my dear mother told me I needed to find a good church and start going, "Mom, they're all so full of hyocrites..." She very sweetly responded, "Oh Peg! I'm sure they'll have room for one more!" It took me a few more years to figure out exactly what she meant. 20 years ago today my mom passed into glory. I'm so thankful for her prayers and faith that brought this prodigal home.

Why would you agree you're a hypocrite??? Are you born ANEW/born of the Spirit? We must be living examples of CONVERSION i.e TRANSFORMATION. I can confidently tell people I USED TO BE a hypocrite until God changed me. This is soooo important especially for new believers. Coming from a Catholic background, finding freedom in Christ, trusting people who call themselves “Christian” and have them ruin and damage you, putting you back into slavery, I have to learn not to trust and to observe people by their fruit. This topic is so important and I pray that this message goes to those who need to hear this.

Hypocrisy is an excuse for the hearer to not follow Jesus but this is an excuse that doesn't hold water. Follow Jesus, he wasn't a hypocrite. People are always looking at others to be Jesus, and forget we are being sanctified and are not yet perfected. That's biblical. I would be a major hypocrite for not being a messenger of the gospel, of which I believe in and commanded to tell others about. 😊

I love the Lord with all of my heart but I’m in constant pain…I have 12” of titanium in my spine, titanium discs, a graphite and plastic knee and osteoarthritis in my right knee. My husband has health issues. We spend days in bed watching tv because of not feeling well. My oldest sister died on February 10 and my younger sister and I aren’t talking. Were the last two left of my parents family and I’m feeling discouraged. My youngest daughter is at war with our family and none of us understand it because we work hard to show her love. The grandchildren are being kept away from the whole family. Please….i need prayers for our family and these health problems.

2 Corinthians 12:7-10 7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. 8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. 9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. Romans 8:18 “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”

I had a Pastor or Preacher that said that we are all hypocrites a little bit. The way I see it we all have sin in our lives or bad habits and we try to work on them and get better as time goes on. One problem sometimes it's something that you can't fix and you need to get help to fix it or get some counsel.

If you could be perfect and not sin, then Jesus wouldn’t need to die on the cross for your sins, being saved doesn’t make you perfect and never to sin, but Jesus didn’t die on the cross so you could keep sinning, you should show Jesus respect and do your very best to turn from sinful acts, and if you do sin doesn’t mean you’re kicked out of the book of life, just means you pick yourself up and try harder to honor Jesus in repentance of sin.

Let us not be fooled! We do not want to be one of those who will be turned away on that day when men stand before God. The way is narrow, and the road is straight, and FEW be that find it. Matt 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Verse 22 MANY will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? Verse 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Matt 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and FEW there be that find it. Our sin has set us all on the road to hell and no amount of good will fix the sin we have done. We have ALL sinned. It is not about the type of sin or how much sin. It is about the fact that we have sinned. For that reason we all need a Savior. If we want forgiveness for our sin and peace with God. If we want to escape eternal hell. If we want to go to heaven we must understand the following. We DO NOT get saved (go to heaven), get right with God, forgiven, by being good, by being religious, by just believing in God, by praying a prayer, being baptized, asking or accepting Jesus into our hearts, accepting Jesus as our personal Saviour, confessing our sins, joining a church, cleaning up our lives, doing penance, taking the bread and the wine, or doing all these things accumulative. Salvation is a gift that is given to those who repent and come to faith. Eph. 2:8,9 Salvation takes repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, Acts 20:21. testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. Make no mistake. We cannot be a friend of Christ and remain a rebel against God and unless we repent we remain a rebel. The word repent, from the Greek word “metanoia”, means a change of mind or direction. God is not receiving those who almost or kind of repents. It is like the word About-face which is a 180 degree turn. We turn from not wanting God fully in our lives to willfully surrendering to Him to lead our lives. When any person comes to the place where they are broken over their sin toward God to the point that they want to get right with God no matter what it will cost them they are in a state/spirit of repentance toward God. Luke 14:33 So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple. The repentant heart would walk away from anything or any one to get right with God. We then take that willing repentant heart we have towards God and place it on the Lord Jesus Christ as Lord and Master, because He paid the price for our sin, and that becomes faith. At that moment God’s grace through Christ is freely applied to us and we are born again, saved from eternal hell and sealed by the Spirit so that we will never again return to the practice of sinning. 1John 3:9,10. Our first command after salvation is to be baptized. Repentance of sin is the result of the new birth/salvation and will be part of the sanctification process and our new life with the Lord Jesus Christ, Eph 2:10. While we may sin from time to time after salvation it will never again be our practice 2Cor. 5:17, 1John 3:9,10. John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. REV. 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. It all boils down to are we sorry/broken enough over our sins against God and do we want to get our hearts right with Him or not. Let us be sure that tomorrow does not belong to us.

Just because I don't have the opportunity to share the gospel with the unsaved as a Christian, does not make me a hypocrite. God says in His Word that he has called people to do different things within the body. Not all are called to be street preachers, pastors, missionaries, etc. So, I resent that statement made by Ray.

A hypocrite is someone who pretends to have certain beliefs, values, or principles that they do not actually possess. They often act in contradiction to their stated beliefs or feelings. This behavior involves a disparity between their public persona and their private actions, leading others to perceive them as insincere or deceitful. The term originates from the Greek word "hypokrites," which means an actor or a stage player. In ancient Greece, it referred to someone who wore a mask and pretended to be someone else, which metaphorically extended to people who similarly "wear masks" in their personal lives by pretending to hold values or beliefs that they do not genuinely adhere to

For those who like to live in la la land, they would probably read a title like this and say I've never been a hypocrite and I never will be at the crib so this kind of a video It Doesn't mean me. Yet one thing I've noticed in my short 55 years of life are the many times that I've noticed hypocrisy either Within Myself, or in seeing it in others. I've also noticed it with regards to reading it in Scripture. One of those famous people being shown as being a hypocrite was the Apostle Peter when he said I will never deny Jesus, but Jesus answered him in saying but yes you will. His response to that was him leaving completely to say I'm no longer going to be part of this group because I'm a hypocrite. But that's not the end of his story. I remember hearing a lot of people talking about children of Christians who go to university and then they come home to explain to their parents that now they are atheist. Some people have maintained that maybe what happens is these children go to university and they do something that to them is the kind of a thing that makes them speak about themselves or think about themselves as being no longer a Christian in the sense of maybe them breaking something like whether that something is something like them having a same sex sexual experience with somebody. Or like some of the people here in Spokane that I heard about and mainly from a bus driver who told me that there were three students who were in University here who committed suicide after taking heroin. She theorized that the reason they committed suicide was because they felt in their hearts that taking drugs put them on the lowest rung of humanity. Or that they've been told if you take heroin or whatever kind of injectable drug that would be, that they would be addicted to it to such level that they would even kill their own family members in order to have that drug. It doesn't matter whichever way that is it's still a function that is something that can work in a person that to get them to such a point where they could very easily take their own life either because of feeling like a gift that they had the price their family or put themselves into a point where they would have to deal in battle with fighting their addiction and losing their addiction. Much like the certain members of the musical Elite who have been become addicted to a certain substance and then that substance killing them because of how it affected their heart. I remember back in 1998ish I was doing a lot of communicating in chat rooms on the internet. I went into it quite innocent and unknowledgable about the things going on. I had noticed one person always going into the place to espouse his views on being an atheist. I had gotten to a point of exasperation to an extent where I private messaged him why he would go to a Christian chat room if he was an atheist? He informed me as if I was beyond being naive which it turned out to be the case. I'm not here to try to make people atheists. I'm here to either get women to bring them through having a s3xual moment with a stranger. Or in the best case scenario, living close enough to have physical contact with them. I was shocked. Are you only looking for single women, I asked. It doesn't matter, he responded. But for him he said the married ones were the easiest ones. He told me how funny he thought that of his conquests there were 4 children who were born out of those unions of whom he hadn't paid 1 penny to help with paying for that child because the husband didn't have any reason to be curious or feel the child wasn't his. I know these kinds of things occur. I recently saw the building of something like this actually occurring in church. A pastors wife talking to a new church goer who was at first very flirty with her. When her husband who wasn't the main pastor but an assistant pastor cane to the seats where his wife was at, what shocked me was that his flirting didn't end when she introduced her husband, it continued. I was away a couple of weeks but when I returned I noticed the newbie was once again there, but surprise surprise he was always on the pew behind wherever she was sitting. After my eyes being opened in Christian Chat rooms I've become jaded to such an extent where now it's almost like seeing the things I've written I think along the lines of what I learned in chat rooms because people are people. And because there are women who can feel ignored or bored by their husband. And all it takes is opportunity and a free moment to go down that path away from the walk of life away from the way of the world. What happens to people after failing when those trials and tribulations end with them failing?

You know its funny I never thought of it as minimising my sin. I didnt think I did that but this video is rather convicting in that, I mean... I do. I try to push it under the rug and act like it didnt happen, and just hope that it doesnt happen again. Mostly because it feels like the only other option is to boast about it, which sounds even worse. I will probably pray about this and for a solution to this. That being said I obviously could be a worse hypocrite. I do want to be more holy, not for reputations sake.

Mary: What does my comment have to do with "not loving" someone? As a man with an advanced degree in the field of ministry, I found it humorous that someone would attempt to quote the Bible, without knowing that the traditional reference to II Corinthians, is worded 2nd Corinthians... ...until it hit me, "Wait... This guy's running for President of the United States!" So, it offended you that I laughed when I heard that, and then I got concerned that a presidential candidate, who claimed to be Christian, didn't actually KNOW the Bible? THAT offended you, but the fact that he's trying to quote the Bible, but doesn't know it didn't?!? Stop making a god of Donald Trump‼️

@livingwaters honest question: Is it hypocrisy when another believer insists that something you said was wrong (not as in morally wrong, but as in not “Christlike”.) and I disagree with them? Even if I apologize for hurting them but disagree with their assessment, (that what I said was not Christlike), am I a hypocrite? Am I minimizing my faults? Scenario: I teased someone about showing up to a 12 hr conference 45 min early. Allegedly they asked me to stop but I didn’t get the memo. They said I teased 5 times total. I honestly cannot recall them asking me to stop! I truly am sorry that I kept teasing after being asked to stop, but I didn’t know they were asking that and when I asked for clarification on when they told me to stop I was accused of playing games. I apologized for being hurtful but I disagree that what I said was genuinely not Christlike. Is this an agree to disagree situation? Any chance you can help me?

To Living Waters, why would the word "hate" be used in Luke 14:26 when in 1 John 3:15 it states hating your brother makes you a murderer. How do we know that from the many books that were combined into the Bible that there wasn't false doctrine included.
@leenieledejo6849
@leenieledejo6849 5 күн бұрын
The Greek word μισεῖ (misei) means "hate" (detest) but it also have the meaning of "to prefer less" i.e to make a comparative choice. You should NOT detest your neighbor or, especially, your brother and sister in Christ. But you should definitely prefer the Lord above any other person. It's better for you if you do so, too. An example would be a young man or woman marrying a Christian aged 19 and after much prayer, going on a mission trip to a dangerous country. Imagine their unbelieving parents being against it. Well, obedience to the Lord is often going to look like hating others. Obviously the young couple in this example do not hate their parents...they just prefer them less and love the Lord more...but the lost world will look at the situation and think they do. [Don't forget that MANY English words have nuances in meaning, depending on the context. Someone from a language (like ancient Greek) that has several meanings of the verb "to love" would be asking why on earth a woman can talk about "loving" ice-cream and in the same breath tell her husband she "loves" him! Native English speakers intuitively understand the difference.]

HYPOCRISY in the ⛪? Revelation 3:14-20 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
