The fact that he did it so quickly when Ray advised him to seek genuine repentance... the tears...
@courtneynicole7674 жыл бұрын
Most Christians miss that first part... repentance. I was a professing Christian for 16 years, serving in my church and leading Bible studies before I came to a real awareness of my sin and truly repented. It has made all the difference in my walk with God. I'm so grateful that by His grace and mercy He remained faithful, relentlessly pursued me and chastised me until I finally surrendered. After years of depression and destructive behaviors as a result of the depression I was moved by godly sorrow to repentance, now I am safe and secure in Jesus Christ my Lord. I understand Ray's concern for these people who call themselves Christians and think they're saved because they only believe in Jesus but never truly repented and don't know the seriousness of their sin.
@darrenochoa92112 жыл бұрын
That is so true.Many people believe that they are saved but continue to live in their sin.They need to repent and turn away from their sin.They need to be born again.Oh blood and water that gushed forth from the heart of Jesus as a fountain of mercy for us I trust in you. Salvation then go into all the world and preach the gospel..feed the poor etc...god asks this much for his glory. Great comments ..maybe alot of religions do believe in works to get to heaven. I like to think of that as a way to introduce the gospel "inspire of good works" because as you quoted the bible no one is good "no not one". Treat all with scripture let God do the work. @@timteeple5667 Our Lord is incredible, so Gracious, so loving, so good! Indeed, we are saved by grace alone through faith alone, in the Lord Jesus Christ alone, not by good works of any kind. We are saved unto good works for God's glory. In Christ we are freed from the power of sin, death, and the devil. We can serve God as we ought for His glory. We now as children of the One True God are freed from attempting to "earn" anything, and are empowered by the Holy Spirit to serve God acceptably. Sun, by your own admissions Ray would tell you that you aren't a true born again Christian as you admited that you sin after believing you were saved; just like what he said to the guy in this video... One of the devils biggest attacks on Christians is to get them to doubt their salvation and thus leading to a lack of trusting God will honor his word and then makes Christians live a less productive life. It sounds like you are unsure of your salvation and fear you might mess something up and God will withdraw your salvation but that's unbiblical. Christians should be confident in their salvation because Jesus is true to his word
@naturallygifted20025 жыл бұрын
Sun432, That’s the problem, your trying your best to stop sinning. Remember we sinners now save by grace. What you need to do is ask the Holy Spirt to help you to overcome the temptation and He will. Instead of you in you own strength it will NEVER WORK. Remember Christ Himself was tempted, but without sin.

To use the narrative of a parachute is unscriptural, because in Jesus and the apostles day parachutes did not exist. This method is used to exalt this white generational achievement mindset in perpetual warfare welfare. If he'd say sunk out of a ship is more compelling and judiastically sound. Jesus didn't make the first parachute but peter sanked...so did Jonah..now watch this leader don't give me my due credit because of his goal...see the goal isn't salvation, its transformation..love Robert Wilson of embassies of Christ 93 in Gary Indiana.

@@seventeenseventeen9347 Using metaphors doesn't have to be exactly accurate, and the way to reach people by trying to use ancient metaphors just because they'd be a little more accurate is redundant. Its just an analogy to get people to see it from an easier perspective. Ray uses the idea of being in the middle of the road and a big 18 wheeler is coming at you, you'd move out of the way. With your logic you can say, "Well so can the truck driver!" In this case the truck is death and the analogy isnt perfect. You could say a train is coming at you and you need to move off the tracks, but the point still reaches people; There is X problem, and the solution is Y. Absolutely will pray for you and honestly it is a daily prayer. When they asked Jesus how to pray, he gave us what is commonly known as the Lord's prayer. Now, along with many other people I have recited this many times, without really thinking of the words. Now in my daily struggle with sin the lines that really strikes a chord with me is the following 1. 'and forgive us our tresspasses' 2. and lead us not into temptation 3. but deliver us from evil So because we are human in our sinful nature we are going to fall short which is why God has given us this prayer to help us recognise that we need his strength daily, as on our own we will fail. So if I can encourage you to start each day with this prayer and ask God what help you need to make the right decisions. What is causing you to stumble? Maybe you need to confront an addiction, pride or change the people you hang around with. I believe you now know what to do, and what to avoid in the future and that is how we grow and learn. Do not be fearful, ask God's help at the start of every and then at the end weigh it up and repent if you have messed up. Doing this daily we are more likely to be able to check ourselves against God's standard for our lives and grow in a relationship and Trust him that he will bring you through and each time will be stronger and stronger in your walk and faith. Love in Christ Jenni

@@bentonvillefamily What you wrote is not a scripture, it's just false Christian rhetoric, therefore, it didn't answer my questions. What World is The Holy Bible written to? The Israelites were always referred to as a World as is proven here in the OT and the NT: James 4v4, St. John 17v9, St John 18v20, Isaiah 45v's15-17.
@bentonvillefamily4 жыл бұрын
WellnessliteIsreal 1. I simply gave a verse. I don’t know what that verse has to do with what you are saying. 2. You are absolutely incorrect about “the world always referring to the Israelites”. I mean I can run off a lot of verses but you are trying to tell me 2 Samuel 22:16, 1 Chronicles 26:30 and how about Proverbs 8:31 “Rejoicing in His inhabited world, and my delight was with the sins of men” So....how can Israelites be inhabited? You think God only wants to save His chosen people of Israel and not the rest of the world? If so, you are breaking the first commandment creating a god to fit what you want your god to be.

My mother, as I was growing up, had the Ten Commandments on her wall. I had to pass it every day going to my room. At 19, God came seeking & saving me. He showed me 1 John 3:7-10. That scripture said I was a child of the devil. I got desperate and asked Jesus to save me. He did. I repent and put my whole life in God's hands. I have been living with the Lord for 48 years now.

Assuming he isn't living in habitual sin, I DO believe he was saved. I also believe we as Christians can definitely get into a spiritual rut where we backslide enough to become complacent/numb/lukewarm/apathetic/etc and begin taking our salvation for granted, which leads to the absence of fruit. He obviously didn't walk out of his salvation, but he did allow the enemy to do everything he can do with a Christian covered by grace, which is make him ineffective in forwarding God's Kingdom. It's so important that we die to the flesh daily, get in the Word, and be in regular prayer and fellowship so we can bear proper fruit. This isn't to say it's by works, but through obedience. Taking regular inventory of our heart can also lead us to a place of genuine repentance when we realize we're a spiritual mess and have distanced ourselves from Jesus.

I love to see Ray going out and helping others to open their eyes, see the truth, and receive salvation. But Ray you were wrong to tell Clarence that he was headed for hell if he was judged by the 10 commandments. If Clarence was was already saved then you know his sins have been covered by the blood of Jesus Christ that will show mercy on his children on judgment day, because salvation is a gift sealed with a promise. Revelation 3:20 proves my point, there is nowhere in the KJV Bible that you can show me that says he ever leaves once you’ve opened the door. God knew we wouldn’t become perfect because we’re human, I understand he expects us to to be obedient and confess our sins, so we have the assurance that they’re thrown into the sea of forgetfulness and remembered no more, but you also know that a true born again Christian wants to humble themselves and ask for forgiveness. Because God chastens us, because he loves us.

This is so sad a commentary. The man believed Christ died on the cross for his sins, yet not the way Ray wanted him to. I'm glad it is GOD'S grace and faith in Christ finished work on the cross that saves me and NOT the works or sins I do after I'm saved that determines my eternal destiny. Please never witness to someone and tell them they need to clean up their act or turn from their sin to get saved. (that's works salvation - which no one gets saved by in this dispensation) That is another gospel, Jesus never preached to us through our Apostle Paul. Salvation comes only by faith in Christ, by believing He died, was buried and rose for our justification. Faith alone in Christ alone. Not our works or turning from sin. See what God's word says below: hear, believe, trust, then we are sealed. Rom 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. We can't clean up to get saved. READ this verse over and over. WHILE we were sinners NOT after we stopped sinning. This is God's amazing, wonderful, undeserved, grace. Eph 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

D & K Grace : you don’t know what you write. And it’s obvious you don’t know scripture enough with your cherry 🍒 picking of scripture. Same scripture says on judgement day some will say to Jesus we did healing, cast out demons. And Christ says I don’t know you. Why? Because they break God’s law. So to enter heaven we need to stop breaking God’s law. Like Ray says we MUST produce good fruits 🍇. That’s what Christ looks at on day of judgement. Not just accepting Christ Jesus by lip service. Christ wants “action” of God in us lived out. It’s called let you light shine. Read book of Matthew 7. God bless
@dkgrace67434 жыл бұрын
@@onelove6971 Thank you for your comment. I don't read about the salvation I have in the 4 gospels. We read in Matt 16:22, that Peter didn't even want Jesus to go to the cross. And even after the resurrection they still didn't believe He rose Lk 24:36-41. But Paul says we glory in the cross. It's Christ' blood and faith in His blood that saves us. Rom 3:25. You don't find that in Matt, Mk, Lk, or John. Peter preached Christ' death as a murder indictment, blaming Israel for killing the Messiah, not a glorious salvation through the cross, As Paul does. Gal 6:14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. Rom 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. Peter or the other 11 never said this, only Paul. Do you believe the writings Jesus gave to Paul?
@trentsc49294 жыл бұрын
I agree with you D & K. Jesus said, " If you love me, obey my commands. " So what are His commands. There are 2. 1)Love the Lord with all your heart, soul, and mind. 2)Love your neighbor as yourself. Love is at the core of the Christian walk, and anything bearing good fruit. All good things come from God. God is Love. Love covers a multitude of sins. So, therefore by abiding in His Love, we are operating from there and radically changing our environment, witnessing to save souls, and being a light in the world. Nothing can separate us from His love. That's the gospel message, that's why it's called the Good News.
