Yikes! Loose lugnuts is a bad day waitnng to happen. I'm always like "wait, whaaa?" when I hear you talk about KFC, Circle K, and all of the other American franchises that have made there way to Sweden.

Only goes to show, there are some good people in this world still, they're just spread a little thin in my experience! I think you'll need some longer ramps on the truck, I'm pretty sure the 1300 scraped its' bottom on the way down.

nice trip. Just wanted to give you a piece of advice for straps if you will transport more cars in the future. I have been taking high end cars to shows around the US over 25 years in a trailer and the better way to strap them is to cross the straps. For example wrap around the left front axle and tie the other end to the the right side of the platform. Same for rear, you want to end up with an "X" on both front and rear made by the straps. I would invest in wider straps too. The Morris is small but Jags are heavier and it will stress those 1" straps.

Hi Adam what a heart warming tale to tell and the gentleman who helped you out is a star I guess with the lugnuts coming loose it was good they did not fall off on the road even with the best will we all make mistakes so don't beat yourself up we are thankful you had such a wonderful outcome glad the truck ran well I am sure your son enjoyed the adventure as always best regards Andy Allen,

Hooray for the good Samaritan! How did your son do while there was all the uncertainty? Hopefully he was happy as a clam.

Well. This Morris with short wheelbase and good ground clearance gets its underside scrubbed when loading / unloading. How you manage to load long and low Jaguars on that thing without problems is still a mystery to me. I said this since you bought the car. As said before. You must be the new David Copperfield to do this magic. And as said before, I hope I`m wrong.

That they couldn't help you at the gasstation doesn't really surprise me, but that you asked 40 motorists and no-one had one in their car is just crazy. Most people these days just call the recovery service and sit and wait for them to come and do such a simple job.

As no cars come with spares, there's no point in having a wrench, just like there's no point in having a jack either.

You may find it better with the truck facing going up hill the the angle of the ramps will be less.

Reminds me of when I was 5 years old and my dad would take me to work with him in his 7.5 tonne truck. The health and safety Nazis would be horrified these days...

IMHO you need longer ramps that 1100 grounded out.OR a lower system on your truck.

I have another plan. It doesn’t happen with a heavier vehicle and longer ramps would be a pain. I plan to add air shocks to the rear to be able to lower it when loading and then raise it again when I drive
