I find A series engines run quite cool particularly in my Morris Minor. The engine has a mechanical fan with 2 blades. I'm reckoning the engine isn't getting warm enough!

Yeah I think the best would be to drive through some rush hour traffic in summer when it's 32 degrees. Then we'll know for sure!

On mine the fan doesnt come on until the gauge is just nudging the red. I have AC Delco-instruments though and have some issues with the temp-gauge… But mine has always seemed to hower around close to the red, with the fan cutting in as soon as it actually reaches red.

That's good to know. I'll install the Volvo 740 switch when it arrives but I'm probably overthinking it!

It is also really good to know that it’s the same as for the 740, quite easy to find here in Sweden, one would think. Like most parts, I got mine from Bodins. He also had a new original radiator…

@paullundgren6319 740 is particular to Agnetha because she has a Montego radiator. But Quinton Hazell still make switches for the Allegro.
