I crochet. I had a grandmother who passed away in 2001 and an aunt who passed away in 2002 and their hand made crafts and crocheted/knit items are some of the most cherished items they left behind. I want to have things to give my kids for when I'm no longer around too.

In UK. Children usually put their stocking at the end of the bed, and Santa fills it on Christmas Eve, when the children are asleep. My children would have their stockings when they woke up, and we would have Christmas songs playing on the radio. We would then have a full English Breakfast, then shower and put smart clothes on. We would then have their presents from around the Christmas tree, which would be from me, family & Friends

My mother did the same as your great grandmother, she also crocheted baby blankets for her 5 grand daughters for her future great grandchildren. My daughter had a baby 3 months ago. In behalf of my mother she passed 3 years ago. I gifted my daughter a blanket it was a very emotional moment 😢❤

You brought up happy memories with this video! My grandma always had chenille bed spreads, and we received one at our wedding. They were so soft and lasted forever! As far as Christmas, my sisters and I would help my mom decorate the tree - she would take care of the rest. On Christmas Eve, after we were supposed to be asleep, I could hear my mom wrapping gifts in the livingroom. My sisters and I were allowed to open our stockings Christmas morning while our parents slept in, then it was on to parents when they awoke. Thanks for sharing your memories with us ❤

So we live in Hawaii and our house is old in an area that is normally cooler because of the wind in the valley so we have a real fireplace. We don’t use it cause it’s too hot but we put a fake one in our master bedroom and we love it! It’s always on. Makes it feel cozy! Dinner looked amazing! Would love to try the biscuits!

C., your bedroom looks great!! As children we helped with decorating the tree and etc. My mom added any needed finishing touches. One great Christmas memory was lighting kerosine lanterns and my sisters and I would walk down our street with the lanterns delivering Christmas treats to our neighbors. It was a bit of a walk as our homes all had 1/2 to 1 acre of land. Then when we returned home we would drink hot, home made cocoa. Decorationg home made sugar cookies was fun, too! Also, I wanted to say that those blankets made by your great grandmother is SO fantastic!!! What a special keep sake for sure!! Have a great weekend!!

Oh Cambria, what a tresure to have a special handmade gift from her great, great, great grandma! That's awesome! The chicken & dumplings sounds yummy, & the biscuits too! Your bedroom looks beautiful especially with the new beding! I usually don't wash my new things! I love the newness of it & figure they won't be new ever again. For Christmas, we would get a big box full of gifts from my Sister & her family every Christmas, she was 11yrs older & got married when I was around 7 or 8 yrs & my brother was 13yrs older! So I was the baby & spoiled! So the box was so exciting to get & I couldn't wait til Christmas to open them up! It was magical! As I got older, my parents gave me money sometimes to get what I wanted! One year I wanted this tape recorder. I thought it was so cool! So my Mom said if I saved half of it from my babysitting money she would put the other half in & she ordered it! So I did. I think it was about $50, so I saved my $25 & she put other $25 in & ordered it! We played on that tape recorder for several years! This was in the early 60's! Similarly to the baby blankets, my mom crochets our Christmas stockings. She has made one for herself, my dad, my brother and me. Then when I got married, for my husband and then for each of our 5 kids. She has made a few extras for any other kids that may try to sneak in or if my brother ever has children. I am a novice crocheter but I hope to make them for my grand children some day if she can't!

Yes, love the baby blankets made by family, before we lost my mom she crocheted blankets, she made them for her grandchildren and then made them for all the future great grandchildren, she made so many before she got sick that there are ones set aside for her great great grandchildren. My sister has them safely stored away for the future. We love them and her great grandchildren love their blankets it helps us to remember to tell stories about their great grandma!

For Christmas, when we were little we all "decorated" together, it really was all mom. Lol. But then I took the whole thing over at 14 and never looked back, im 64 now!. I love doing Christmas! My tree is the heart of it, full of the family ornaments of which one is now 70 yrs old from when my parents were first married. It's a little fragile and slightly faded, but to me, it's the best one on the tree! Keep doing your wonderful video's Cambtea!

Everything look SPECTACULAR Here in ATHENS GREECE....we're GREEK ORTHODOX...we bake a variety of sweets. We celebrate with family and friends , many still observe " lent" fasting for 40 days and taking holy communion at Christmas eve morning service... The day of Thanksgiving, my mom would put in her real Christmas tree. We decorated no presents were put under it until Christmas morning. We never had this decor that everyone does now for the holidays for the season in our house. It was just the a Christmas tree.😂

As far as I know it is fine if a baby can hold her head, if her neck is already strong enough (there's also a few"exercises" for encouragement). All babies are different, it doesn't happen at the exact same time for all of them. But this is only what I've been told, there's a lot of mixed thoughts on the subject.

I love watching your videos. What state are you located?. I am watching from California. You have a beautiful home. Sorry to say on one of your video you held your baby with one hand and other doing stuff, that made me so nervous because a new born baby needs neck support because he/she is very fragile. My friendly advice that unless your baby is crying, you can lay the baby down or on a baby swing. I hope you don't mind. Have a blessed day 🙏
